I’m right down the road from you in Gulfport, yeah this is my new channel for storms in the gulf. Josh did such an amazing job with Helene, I’m locked in on his channel now. Very impressed 😎👍🏻
As a New Orleanian, when a hurricane is approaching the coast, it comes in like a bull but then starts losing steam. This one didn’t. It became stronger which doesn’t happen. A Dew Weapon struck it. There’s evidence of it on other weather RUclips channels. It should have weakened going into FL, so NC should have never ever got hit this hard, wiping out whole towns. We flooded here to the tops of roofs and some houses were knocked off their slabs from Katrina, but I’m 66 and have never seen a hurricane do damage like this

@@MsAnon4223 I use to live in Town n County, Sheldon and waters. I moved to Pinellas. Oldsmar to be exact. I am as far from the bay as you can possibly be in Oldsmar. Right across Tampa road a lot of flooding happened. My aunts house in TnC got flooded about a foot or so, and my step sisters house in St Pete got about 4-5 feet. Half of my neighborhood got their power restored on Saturday. Luckily we never lost power. I hope you didn’t experience any damage or flooding.
@@AnotherRigmarole thankfully no flooding for us. I was actually at the pier in Oldsmar Thursday afternoon before the storm. I was surprised how many other people were there. Lafayette Blvd was already flooded and closed from the morning high tide. It's really sad to see how many people were impacted. A friend of my son's who lives on Shore Dr was completely flooded out. They have one of those older homes that's built at ground level.

There is usually a group of people there and sometimes local news. Those houses always flood across the street from the park, I don’t know how those people do it. Gulf as in the Gulf of Mexico. Golf is that game people play with balls, pins and greens. Many golf courses on the Gulf coast where sea gulls hang out putting around.
My neighbor's relative had a cabin up in mtns of N. carolina - went up to check on it and couldn't get back out - he will now have to be helicoptered out whenever they can get to him.

To give you a laugh remember Christmas vacation movie when Clark worked so hard on the roof lights and he finally got the lights to come on. It was beautiful and Clark was so proud of himself and he ask his father in law what he thought. The father in law scoured and said "the little lights are not working". Hahaha. The analysis is authoritative, measured, and professionally presented. So, I see no merit for criticism that the analysis is alarmist. My only criticism -- as a former network news producer -- is that the videos are too long and could be condensed, or, topics could be cestioned with time stamps, which would allow viewers to select topics that most inerest them. Doing that would take the burden off the viewer for having to edit the presentation by fast forwarding, rewinding, and basically searching for what's most interesting. Otherwise, this is an informationally rich product that makes meteorology understandable.
If those folks don't like your prewarn information to keep them safe, then they can go find a another RUclips forecaster that doesn't bother to pray for those in storms' paths. Their loss.

Sitting between B.R. and N.O., Louisiana trying to judge the possible rain or no rain coming. RIght now have 0.3 a few miles to the west and 2 1/2" a few miles to the east... needing to transplant all my winter crops and plant all my root crops. Hoping for a better idea of what's coming for south central/eastern Louisiana before gambling my whole livelihood on the "what if" the next couple days after catching the eyewall of Francine. Hope to get a better view of that coming precipitation in SE LA tomorrow...

I know what fear mongering looks like, that’s why I stopped watching the weather channel long ago. I don’t see that same thing going on here on your channel and I appreciate the objective reporting. Besides, If the worst case scenario never comes to pass, isn’t it still better to err on the side of caution?
