There is a lie here, how come you put on the map morrocco as the golden age for science, while back then it didn't even exist yet, there were few nedina's that Algerian created, but it Algeria who was part of it, leanardo da vincci is an exemple, because he got his knowledge about science and math that he brought to europe from the city of Béjaïa, Algeria, search it up

Golden Age clock inventors eh.. what happened to them? Why did Islamic invention die all those centuries ago?

Multiple reasons, including arrogant rulers and collonisation. And currently, well, you can see the current unfortunate circumstances of arabic countries such as Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Yemen and even Egypt, that doesn't allow for scientists to even exist.

@@opaaaalgahawy5475 I was in Cairo recently. I can't see any reason why science couldn't flourish - beyond, perhaps, having a small budget. But look at Saudi and the UAE - no shortage of money, no colonization, but also little science. Looking back 500 years the science had just about stopped in Islamic countries and was just starting in the West. Something must have changed.

@@straighttalking2090 How out of touch do you have to be to not see something as clear ad the sun... The prisons are literally filled with their most talented scientists and innovative thinkers. A nation built on feer and oppression will not in a million years flourish.
Egypt was one of the biggest wheat producer in the world around 100 years ago, it's now the uncontested number one wheat importer in the world. This is just an example of what the corrupt leaders can do to a country. They've failed such a simple yet important case, do you think they can master more important matters like education?
Speaking of education, most public schools in cairo don't even have desks, amongst other things. 100+ children are pushed into a single class, and the teachers are underpayed to do their job, resluting in almost all teachers having to give private lessons so that they can even survive. And since the class teachers are giving private lessons to their students for money, it'll be easy for the teachers to give the students a copy of the exam also for money, they won't even study. In what world does this environment produce innovative scientists or thinkers? It all ties down to the politics and policies of the country no natter how far you try to avoid that.
If you want to read more about the state in egypt, you can read about a recent incident (the death of Ayman Hadhood). The details of this incident sums up almost perfectly the state of the country and how the people are treated.

@@opaaaalgahawy5475 Hmm. Well I'll have to admit I am something like 'out' of touch given that I never have been 'in' touch with the education system in Egypt, so thank you for the enlightenment. Still, what puzzles me is, why does this apply to Islamic countries and not those of the West , or (for that matter) those of the Far East

@@straighttalking2090 it baffles me as well. Why did all the revolutions in arabic countries fail (with one exception, the algerian one) the most tragic one is the Syrian one, with it being just one example. It was too tragic, in fact, that it is considered one of the most tragic man-made event that happened throughout human history, rivaling both world wars. This is just one example of course, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Tunis and Libya all had the unfortunate fate of having a failed revolution, resulting In even worse circumstances.
The gulf is a whole different story, they are empty shells of what looks like countries. They have non-governments that act as governments and no economy except for oil,.
The revolutions have tried to change things and failed. However, there if things don't change there will be more coming inevitably. If we are both lucky enough, we might witness them in our lifetime succeed, and if we are super lucky, we might see arabic countries prosper as they oncd where and this will be markes in the history as just an "unlucky time"
