Jolanda, you're awsome! You are the prettiest mountain biker ever. I have watched this video 3-4 times, just to watch you motor pace. Just amazing how fast you go. Thanks. Take it easy.
I just want to say thank you, and you’re such a huge inspiration for me. I’m a competitive mountain biker racing cross country in NICA and I look up to becoming as great and skilled as you are. Thank you Jolanda for being such an inspiration.
My daughter is going to freak out she just learned about Jolanda and got her first real mountain bike at age 7! She has been hitting the trails with my wife and I and now even my 5 year old boy has a mountain bike just like her and is kicking all of our butts. She is going to be so excited to hear the place she wants to go is where Jolanda rides and lives.
A great episode to reaffirm the risks. I don't tell my daughter to "run fast!". Always "concentrate!". Still, accidents happen. The process of returning from a major accident gives everyone courage. Looking forward to the next episode with my daughter.
Great video. Love your mentality. No wins last year but always near the 1st place. With your fighting spirit the wins will come agian. I hope this virus wont take to long and we can compete again, Looking forward to it greetings from Holland.
Excellent idea for a film series. It's nice to know your day to day and see how friendly and simpathetic you are. I wish you a well recovery. Soon you be on top again.
Beautiful work, Jolanda! I greatly enjoyed seeing this. You are one of the athletes that has motivated me the most into pushing my limits and daring to race. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
Jolanda, first off so glad to see you’re feeling and doing so well! Great video! I appreciate the Joy you have always and wish you the very best when you get back to racing again!!🙏🏽💪🏽🚴♀️🚵♀️
Hope you enjoyed it here in North Carolina and have a speedy recovery. Good luck whenever the MTB season starts and hope to see you in CX races - especially the C2 in Hendersonville!
Awesome video, and great editing quality! Sorry to hear about your bad crash. Looks like you’re around good people and you’ll be back into Beast mode at the UCI worlds in no time giving Kate Courtney a run for her money.
Hey Jolanda, that was great! The dirt bike bit was really funny but your accident certainly wasn’t! Wishing you all the best for your recovery and getting back on the bike this year. And thanks so much again for your time doing AMA on Trek subreddit yesterday. Supercaliber 9.9 demo sorted for tomorrow! 😎👍🏻
Amazing! Been a huge fan of yours since forever! I'm also recovering from a broken shoulder, so at the moment it's hard to relate to all the awesome bike vids that come out. But to this one in particular, obviously I really feel connected to. Get better Jolanda!!
Great video of you, Luca and his family. Nice to see you and Luca always laughing. You are always in a good mood😉👍 What was there ever delicious to eat with you? 🤔😄🤪 How is Luca doing behind the stove? That was a pretty bad fall Jolanda😬🥴🙊 Hope your healing is going well and can slowly train what you love most, MTB. And together with Luca and his family you are an unbeatable team🙏😊👍😉💪👊
Great video! I hope to see you racing again as soon as possible, Jolanda. Whether it is MTB, CX, Road... or MX. Ride Hard Ride Safe. Take care. x 🤘😇 #LiveToRide
Glad you're ok. My husband is the mechanic for Canada (Adam Trotter) & I've loved watching you race when I watch from home. I was accepted as a volunteer for Canada Olympic House for Tokyo, so hopefully you'll come by to visit. I've watched from afar & I'm excited to maybe be able to meet racers in person.
Like the width of your bars on the road bike but in XC, flater narrower bars in conjunction with that drop seat post in my view will be even faster on many courses. Wide bars im sure are necessary for DH & e-bike off-road but XC, not convinced. Great pedalling style, so controlled smooth & no doubt more efficient ... an absolute pleasure to watch. Thought it may have come from a track background i.e. fixed wheel training and racing. On road motor pacing is amazing and helped my amateur A grade (club) ability. Something i found even bunch training didn't provide ... maximum power & speed over varying distances and less risk. Also great for 4 person TT prep and even more fun.
Selected many years ago as the 5th man in a state 100km time trial squad. Middle of winter, -5°c 5.30a.m. dark and being motorpaced on an expressway at around 55kmh for a minimum of an hour. You mentioned that its a type of training you can't achieve on your own without a motorized pace bike ... I totally agree. But even more fun and the next level of performance can be had i believe, when in tight (technically/physically) with 3 or 4 others who are your match and importantly, are equally motivated. What an incredible athlete you are and personally want to see more coverage of you and the teams racing. Is there a link available for RUclips viewers?
Racing for Trek must be tremendous pressure to win. Hope you get the gold or Rainbow stripes this year. Motorpacing and motocross will definitely get you in shape!
I love jolanda for being simple and humble. A true champion for me.
i like how she eats healthy and prefers meat direct from the farmer. we all should do that.
@@hottrash7503 yes we should. But greedy corporations have managed to fool the public into having substandard food.
