It fucking sucked when Sylosis was scheduled to tour with Trivium and had an accident. Definently can hear an influece in Trivium from evey band they've toured with. Imagine the inspiration a band like Sylosis could have brought to them
I recently just discovered this band because of Josh Middleton being in Architects. I’m more upset at myself that I didn’t discover this band so criminally underrated and Josh Middleton is such a beast
Architects are cool but this stuff is where josh really gets to shine, great singer and his guitar playing and songwriting is just off the charts. I hope there are more people like you who discover them from architects because they’re easily one of the best metal bands of the last decade. Hopefully josh gives giving attention to Sylosis, I know architects helps pay the bills but Sylosis is his baby where he gets to show off his true crazy talent.
He’s pretty much the perfect storm in my opinion. Ridiculous genetics, talent all that. Other people have that, but he’s got the edge with how disciplined he is and dedication, took it to another level.
If you're still interested, the Sonisphere recordings from the YT user Gary Janssen have pretty good audio quality. Band itself nails it as well, as per usual.
+Hunter Isaac Good man!! I think they're on the verge of blowing up now. The Tour with LoG and Megadeth will have helped, shame it got cancelled half way through
+p4fizzle I saw them with megadeth and lamb of god , and it was a shame that as the first support act there was not much momentum in the stadium when they performed , I fully enjoyed their performance though :) ! wish more people could appreciate what is the incredible music of sylosis though .
chloé Williams Yeh true, but with COB LoG and Dave going up after them, it was never going to be packed when they were on....I got there just as they started and had to miss "Mercy" to get a beer and I was only there to see Sylosis and LoG. Not a huge fan of CoB and Dave is alright. I enjoyed it all the same and I thought their sound was immense! Gotta go see Sylosis headline in March, need me some more of that :)
Since their ep's and debut album came they lost the front man vocalist and he became it. So from 2010 Edge Of The Earth on. (which is probably still my favourite album to date of them!!)

Might now be your thing but in mine and a bunch of other people opinion they’re really Sick and incredibly Talented, they have 2 amazing guitarist and bassist and then one of the best drummers in the business.

I think he’s looks fine now, I feel like the shaved head kinda makes him look skinnier and he seems to where long sleeves a lot more but overall it seems he’s doing well and musically he’s still kicking, I think they’ve actually gotten even better live compared to this time including josh.
