With the first one, I’m surprised Tom Poston, a WWII veteran, complimented #1 on his military bearing. The demeanor he adopted was one of humorless anger, uncalled for in the setting he was in. That’s how I knew for sure it wasn’t him.
No Polly in this episode. I was surprised to learn that Polly was born in July 1930, which would have made her only 28 in the spring of 1959. She seemed more mature than 28.
I have found in viewing scores of these shows the contestant with the most correct answers or offers the most information is normally not the real one. The real person is most often "low key" in responding. Not always, but usually that is the case.
Neither did I. And 45% or no 45%, it was, and still is, a stinking, filthy, disgusting habit. I refer to them as "paper penises". So "cheers" to the folks who just can't seem to keep 'em outta their mouths! YUH-UHM!!
Yes, when a tobacco company sponsored that weeks program . 1959, large percentage of Americans smoked. Cars came without seatbelts and burned leaded gas. Different world!
Those boys were precious. So cute and polite. So glad they won the "big bucks!"
Cute boys. They fooled the panel masterfully! 😂❤ Adorable segment.
Love Bud Collier’s laugh. 😂❤
My grandfather is the the Naval one. The real Robert Darby.
That s neat! Is he still with us?
@@librarybob1958 Yep, still strong as an ox.
❤
Take it easy, Ralph. It's only a game.
Game 2 - now there's a switch, find the imposter. Game 3 - #3 was a riot
Game 3 was a hoot. The boys were so cute; funny without even trying to be.

I have to agree. His demeanor was a bit odd.
That first midshipman was so stern, I'd have asked him to tell his favorite joke, just to see him crack a smile.

Let's hope that Tom was smoking a Marlboro

4. Tom Poston

only got one game right, sometimes the imposter seems to know more than anyone and the real contestant seems to know the least.

Tom Poston was smoking! I never knew he smoked. Infact I've never seen ANYONE on that panel smoke. And then HE had to break cycle :(
So what? It was 1959. At least 45% or more of the US population smoked.

Only time I ever saw Tom P. smoking on air.
Jarring....!
Me too.
Bud you keep the cigs please!
So good to tell us your feelings about personal rights.
Man #2 in Game #1
Man #2 and #3 in Game #2
Boy #1 in Game #3
Please remove this moronic troll from the comments section
It seems #1 in game #2 was the imposter
Why is Polly in the hospital !!!!????
I Googled it. It was from a serious complication with her pregnancy.
