If I could figure out what Michigan is trying to do on both sides of the ball that would help. Ohio State looks like a national champion. We've been broken since day 1 of the season. The talent is not the same on both sides of the field and with the coaching staff. Moore is an outstanding OC. You have to know if you are losing that skill set you need to refill with the same skills to continue to win. Campbell isn't the guy. Same goes for the DC. OSU knew what they needed to do to win. Went out and paid $ to get that experience. We didn't. Our secondary is atrocious outside of Johnson. The O-Line cant make holes for the run game. Our QB situation is a jk. Although it was good to see Tuttle shed a little light. This yr was a bust after Harbaugh, Minter and the strength coach left. This team's desire to win isnt the same as the past 3 yrs. You can see it on the side line. That all started with Hutchinson a few yrs ago. Someone needs to step up and get these guys in that mindset. This yr has always been about "what steps can be made to have a successful season next yr"! Its sad, but honest. GBU61

"Lol! It's amazing how much of a difference good coaching can make. Michigan has enjoyed some of the best coaching they've had in years, but that's all changed now. Yes, Wink has struggled, but the real issue is the loss of Clink-without him, the defensive backfield is a mess. This is why a proper coaching search should have been conducted. Sherone just isn't ready for the role. If they knew Harbaugh was taking most of the staff with him, they should have considered moving on from Sherone as well. If the key assistants had stayed, it would have been different-Sherone could have worked within a familiar system and maintained the coaching culture. But as usual, Michigan did the opposite and made a mess of things. You know the saying, 'We can’t have nice things'? That’s Michigan Football! They had something great these last three years, and somehow, they managed to mess it up."

There are so many problems in so many areas. There were enough players comming back that it shouldn't be this bad. Washington had less players comming back than we did. This team is going to have this season get away from them the second half of the schedule. Relying on 25 yr olds, former walk-on, and a guy that can’t throw to play QB is coaching malpractice. They don’t have the depth because they have had underwhelming recruiting for the best 3 yr run in school history due to poor NIL and Harbaugh selfishly flirting with the NFL every year. Sherrone Moore looks like substitute HC who has never been HC at any level; he’s in over his head. The OC is unimaginative and the DC is old and rigid. Players are not playing proper technique. This will be, at minimum, a 5/6 loss season. They have worst passing game in the power 5 and their running game has taken a big step back. Injuries do make this worse. This is a complete rebuild which shouldn’t have to happen a yr after a National Championship. This entire coaching staff needs to go. What an embarrassment.

I have been a huge advocate of Moore since Harbaugh left for the Chargers, but this season falls squarely on his shoulders. Martindale, Campbell, and Bellamy all need to go. Probably the strength and conditioning coach as well- forget his name. DBs and WRs slipping and falling all over the turf, missed tackles all over the field. I don't hold the players responsible- I feel sorry for these guys because they're being setup to fail due to the lack of preparation and atrocious play calling. Moore will get fired after '25, top recruits will decommit. We will be in total rebuild mode in '26. I will always cherish the '23 season and it will live forever in my heart- Go Blue always.

The offense has major problems outside of the running back and tight end positions. They have no quarterback that can pass without turning over the ball. The offensive line cannot pass block and the wide receivers are terrible. This passing offense is one of the worst in all of college football. This goes back to recruiting the past couple of years. Michigan made a monumental mistake in not getting a quarterback in the transfer portal. This program had no transitional plan for moving on from J. J. McCarthy at quarterback. This goes back to Harbaugh and his staff for the cavalier attitude toward the quarterback position. The recruiting in general on the offensive side needs to be addressed to improve the passing offense.

As a Michigan fan, I'm embarrassed by how our fans are reacting to last night's game! Step away from the ledge, and take a deep breath!!! This season wasn't ever gonna be more than 8-4 or 9-3 at best! We're not Bama, Georgia, OSU, LSU, Texas, USC or even Notre Dame! Michigan doesn't reload like those teams. They have to rebuild! They've always been this way. In my 35 years as a fan, this is nothing new! The last 3 years were the exception to normal, not the rule! If your expectation for this year was based on the last 3 seasons, you clearly haven't been alive very long. There are some things I think you all need to just accept about Michigan football:
    1. Harbaugh was an elite HC from 2021 - 2023.
    2. Before that, Harbaugh was just a good HC. It wasn't until he planted both feet in college and recruited JJ McCarthy, that he put Michigan on a path to a Natty.
    3. Harbaugh's flirtations with the NFL every year hurt their recruiting.
    4. That's why their last couple of classes were lower ranked than they should've been. Thus, we see the fruits of that today.
    5. Michigan will only hire from within moving forward. The failed Hoke and RichRod regimes all but guaranteed that.
    6. Academics and elitism is what Michigan is! They are proud of it! They're not gonna change or compromise it!
    7. They've never in their history recruited at an elite level consistently.
    8. The last 3 years were historically the greatest in Michigan history since before Dad and Mom were born. It's the exception! Not the rule.
    9. Michigan has always in my lifetime been closer to being Penn State than Ohio State.
    10. Notre Dame is the best recruiting Midwest school outside of Ohio State. Not Michigan!
    11. Their AD is a Bo disciple! He's gonna operate the football program the way Bo would want him to.
    12. We saw a drop-off at Michigan from Bo to Moeller; and at Stanford from Harbaugh to Shaw. We will most likely see the same from Harbaugh to Moore.
    13. Most of the current players starting on offense and defense are playing either together for the very first time, or playing at all for the very first time. Youth and inexperience is not a recipe for success.
    14. COVID gave all of Michigan's best players over the past 4 years an extra year of eligibility. And they used NIL to retain those guys as long as they could to beat OSU 3 times and win a Natty because their teams were more experienced and mature than everyone else.
    15. Their Coaching staff is also mostly young, inexperienced, or just plain out of touch with the college game (see Wink Martindale). And finally, the best case scenario for Michigan is for them to turn into Clemson from a few years ago. Novice players coach goes from unknown to elite and wins a few Natty's before crashing back down to earth. But most likely, the Moore regime will more closely resemble Freeman at Notre Dame. That's the reality! And we just have to accept it or stop watching the games and do something else with our Fall Saturdays.

    • @GBU61
      @GBU61 3 часа назад

Very well stated. When I think of Michigan it builds a team, has a great year every few, then rinse and repeat. If the fan base thinks this is going to be bad, next year will be when it hits bottom. Most of the remaining stars will leave and unless major changes happen on the staff, ouch!

@@j_r_juniorthat is what would have happened if the adults had been in charge at UM Athletics.
When it comes out, UM fans will learn some very disappointing things about the team that played in 2023.
UM Athletics/Football knew before the 2023 season that cheating had been going on during the 2021 and 2022 season.
This all happened because the former OC Weiss was being investigated for computer access crimes.
He was apparently hacking into the iCloud account of UM coeds, and he acted inappropriately during the course of his job.
This caused UM to suspend him. When UM collected his University issued devices, they found non UM sanctioned security applications. A cyber security firm got these opened, and this is when the in person scouting scheme was first discovered.
It was fully reported to UM that this had gone on since 2021.
The NCAA is gonna heavily sanction UM because they knew and failed to act.
An adult would have ended the scheme and self reported.
And remember this occurred while they were still under NCAA investigation for CVD recruiting violations.
