I love San Francisco, my husband, and I go a couple of times a year. We stayed at the Palace Hotel last late summer. Perfect cool weather compared to where we live in the central valley. Despite the negative news about San Francisco (what big city doesn't have its problems? Lol), We have been going to San Francisco for over 25 years. Christmas time is our favorite time when the whole city and the department stores are all decorated. We go for our birthdays or our anniversary sometimes and to this day, every time we go, we discover something new or try a new restaurant that has been there for over 40 or 50 years. Tadich Grill is one of our favorites. We spent a few days there during New Year's Eve in 2019, we stayed at a hotel near Embarcadero and walked to a park to watch the fireworks at midnight. So many people, good thing we walked, too many cara just trying to find a parking space.. When it hit midnight, there were so many beautiful fireworks, and we recorded it or took pictures. We hugged and kissed, and I was telling my husband, it's a new decade!! 2020! I hear people saying around me and even I said, it's going to be a new beginning, start off fresh, I hope many blessings all around... No one predicted how 2020 was going to be. Every day changes our plans before we least expect it. But we went back to S.F. in July 2021, it was still a bit of a ghost town. The beautiful hotel we stayed at on Nob Hill, the employees were just happy to see any guests stay at their hotel again. They were very helpful, the valet's gave us directions on how to get to a certain places and while waiting for our car, we just had a fun time talking and how they were coping of how quiet S.F. was for over a year. We've been to a Chinese New Year's parade a couple of months after my breast cancer surgery (it was caught early and I just had to get radiation), my hubby took me to S.F. and it got my mind off of all the things I had to go through and lots of rest. We had a great time and ate some great food and of course, had to have a hot fudge Sundae at Ghirardelli's ice cream parlor! I hope we can go back soon, maybe before Easter. Love you, San Francisco!! 🩷😊

Looks like plenty of participants and spectators and lots of appropriate themes. Only problem is a bit of bad weather

Orientals !! is a disrespectful term, try Asian. It's an inclusive holiday open to all.
