Recorded live during the 23rd Paradise Jazz Festival, on Friday 25th of August, at Val`s Place in Gialia village, Cyprus.
The Allusion quartet is based on a collaboration between Antreas Yerolatsitis (guitar) and Omiros Miltiadous (drums). After many years of playing together in different band settings, styles, and concepts, the two musicians are now joined by Marios Charalampous on tenor saxophone and Kyriakos Kesta on double bass, forming a full band quartet.
The Allusion quartet is playing primarily their own compositions. Their music is jazz with influences from many genres such as pop, funk, soul, blues, modal and free. This makes every performance an exciting variety of sounds and grooves. Improvisation and spontaneity, collectiveness, and interplay are some of the main characteristics of their playing style.
