I crash tested this one. I did a nasty high side and this jacket did it’s job. I just scraped a little but the inner side of the elbow and behind the love handles. I’m 6.14’ , the jacket tends to be dragged above my love handles and sometimes the back protector can push behind the helmet. Apart from that a fantastic bang for your buck. Would highly recommend
I've owned a bunch of motocross gear and this V2 is my favorite, they really knocked it out of the park with the way the armor fits, it forms your arms and shoulders so well it doesn't make you look like a hockey player with a jersey on.
Would this jacket be good just for cruising around on the road? if I wanted extra armor, I would put this under a lightweight Kevlar shell, for example. Would it work for that purpose?
The kidney belt might be a little annoying when mountain biking but that is just personal preference, as well as the back protection. I think it comes down a little too far for me. Again, though all personal preference!

Hey! I’m conteplating either getting size S or M. My measurments are right between S and M - chest being 94cm and waist 82cm, height 173cm. Since I am a women and this is designed for men, should I get the smaller size? I know this has a Stella version, but I do not like it.
Alpinestars lists the XXL as working for heights up at 6'4" on their sizing chart. But there are some other measurements that you can take to help you know if this will work for you. The model in this video sized for a large by height but an XL on the other 2 measurements which is why he went with the XL. I got one today just for road riding
I'm wondering, can this be used as protection for daily riding or only for dirt bike offloading?
I use it as my daily but i also have a aramid shirt over it for a little extra protection
It‘s (great) impact protection only. So on the street, you‘ll want some slide protection over top.

No, the armor cannot be removed so it is recommended to hand wash with mild soap.

These seem to run a bit on the small side so going with the larger size (medium) should be the best fit for you. Hope that helps!
if xl fits 5'10" would me being 6'3" fit in any size? seeing it only goes to 2xl?

Alpinestars uses chest measurement, torso height, and height for their sizing guide. But based off your height we would recommend a large.

@@EdFunka I noticed the same, am getting a bigger size. Normally L fits me fine as 193 75kg, hope the XL fits me better

@@felixlundin019 so do a lot of clothes and jackets. Still L often fits me the best..
