To the narrator: Letting babies cry themselves to sleep is NOT in any way good parenting. Babies don't have any other way to communicate, and by ignoring that, they soon will feel that nobody cares. My parents both worked night shift and didn't deem it necessary to have anyone stay home with me as a kid. We had wood heat, and in the dead of winter they decided it was perfectly acceptable to lock their six year old alone in the house (doors locked, bricks against the bottom from the outside) and beat their @ss in the morning for not maintaining the stoves all night. The amount of times I got woke up to my dad dragging me out of bed like the f*cking krampus because the house was cold and my mom's houseplants were going to die blows my mind as an adult. Piggy backing off this comment, if the house had caught fire I'd have been scr*wed. We lived in a fixer upper with bad wiring on a property in the middle of nowhere with no close neighbors to call it in if something did happen. I think I was twenty years old before it actually sunk in how insane that was.
The fact her damn charging cord (In the blood donation case) was a priority over listening to the officers explain what a dangerous situation she put her children in, speaks volumes!
They don’t. They just want to act like good parents in the stupid hope that they won’t get in trouble. As a parent these people really really tick me off🫠 my daughter will never know this and I’m thankful for it but those kids that go through stuff like this breaks me.

@AsmodeusMictian so yes, like they said, a very stupid move, but not in the same category. It's illegal, but not abusive and neglectful and deranged like the rest of these are. That's a parent who made a very stupid mistake, not an abusive one who doesn't care about their children like she's being grouped with.
The first cop handled that so well. He was intentionally acting very happy and jolly when he was around the toddler and that was heartwarming. Those parents don’t deserve such a good and cute kid
I know people think it's a good idea to "let them cry it out" or "self soothe" but that just never sat right with me. Babies need to know that their cries matter!
I rocked my 4 babies to sleep. It was the highlight of my day. Allowing a child to cry themselves to sleep only teaches them to mistrust their parents.

That story about Lexi makes me so angry! She did not deserve the comfort and sympathy the officers and nurse showed that girl. I personally don’t think I would ever get over my daughter tossing her own baby in the trash but to each their own I guess 😒
this unfortunately the reality for many rape victims with the new abortion laws. i'm not saying that's what happened to Lexi, she could of been careless and had unprotective sex for all i know - but the weight is the very same especially when you're young and your brains underdeveloped. it was probably traumatic for her, and i'm left to guess she had no idea what to even do with the child and i doubt she told her mom. but life does have to go on, she should have told someone and she should of been responsible. but i cant comprehend why she wasn't. regardless, what a sad case.
@@augustible9151 thank you for sharing and giving a different outlook and for your sympathy. I respectfully disagree. being a rape victim and this case is NOT the same reality. She was simply irresponsible, careless and selfish. She got pregnant by her boyfriend, and then still went to prom with him after she murdered their child. I have absolutely no sympathy for her. And the only tragedy is the lost life. I knew plenty of people in my high school that got accidentally pregnant. One friend of mine was as young as 15 when she got pregnant. None of those teens want the child, nor were they ever prepared, on top of being terrified of their parents finding out. Not a single one of them had ever thought to throw their baby in the trash can. It’s more likely that that witch was raised to be selfish and spoiled with zero accountability and responsibilities. Being young as the reason for doing what she did can only go so far. Whats for certain about what she knew is that she didn’t want the responsibility. And mom’s reaction, imo, only shows why and how the daughter was able to do what she did.
@@z.z9255 agreed. I believe she did it on purpose and i think mom knew she was anyway. The screwed part was she 19 not so young teen. Yet no she went to the bathroom, delivered the baby, then tied him (i think it was a boy i can't remember) up like he was produce. Just put him in the bag, twisted the top, and folded it under. She then placed him in the bottom of the can and put a new liner in. The poor woman who came to clean was so distraught when she found him. The male nurse in the blue scrubs grabbed the can and ran into the room across the hall and dumped the can ripping the bag open. It was unfortunately to late. Saying its the hospitals fault, sueing them, and,all that. I hope she gets life for what she did. She had lots of options and she chose murder bc they said that baby took a breath so she likely smothered him, they said it looked like she chewed the umbilical cord flushing all the other stuff down the toilet. I think her mom is a crap actress to, she seems to be faking it. Then hearing them all laugh later in the waiting room. The bf, his mom, lexi, her mom just chatting like its a normal day. The only one who looks upset and disturbed is lexis step dad. Personally if it was my sons child I'd be distraught af. Just if it was my grandchild in general I'd be unconsolable. I told my daughter(18) if you get pregnant please just tell me I'm not going to be mad. I want the best care for you and my future grand baby. I'll help you just tell me. She saw what this girl did and my daughter even cried saying why? She had choices, she was in a hospital. I hope they get sent to prison.

If only. But too many people think that's a human rights violation. It's okay for them to keep having sex, knowing damn well the possible results, but heaven forbid people have to have a license to reproduce. This whole interaction between the boy and the officer really warmed my heart, that man really cares
To the narrator: Letting babies cry themselves to sleep is NOT in any way good parenting. Babies don't have any other way to communicate, and by ignoring that, they soon will feel that nobody cares. They will stop crying, yes, but also will have emotional trauma. Babies don't cry for being mean and manipulative, they cry because something is wrong.
🎯 I had a pregnant friend that was in an abusive relationship, when I finally met the baby she NEVER cried even when waking up in the room by herself she’d just wait for someone to come, I looked after many babies and never had that happen … I just knew something else was going on 😭

The lady that happened to have a gun on her while dropping her kids off isn't gonna get any charges. If she gets anything, its gonna be minor and a fine. She's just stupid.

I agree she is stupid for sure but she really doesn’t fit into the same category as the rest of these parents. The first case, what if there was a fire? Those kids had no way of getting out.
That’s a really good point, but probably wouldn’t be able to get out even if they weren’t locked in. Thank God for that neighbor and the police.

WHY do these parents suddenly give a crap about their kids when the cops detain them?

That story about Lexi makes me so angry! She did not deserve the comfort and sympathy the officers and nurse showed that girl. And idk but mom’s reaction to her daughter TOSSING A BABY IN THE TRASH was rather lacklustre. And the fact that she was able to go to her prom afterwards???
She could have easily asked a nurse privately to have her mom escorted out and said they needed paperwork filled out. Then she could have delivered the baby in peace and gave it to the hospital since NM is a safe haven state. She could have walked out of there no problem. He said i just wish she had given me the opportunity to help this poor baby. She knew what she was doing, she knew it was wrong. The lawyer she has so u so dumb in his explanations.
