Salam Dr. Currently I'm doing my MSc. Its an in silico study involving computational modelling of proteins. I'm interested in my current project sebab in silico study is a new thing for me and I'm sure there would be a demand for the skill in the near future. Correct me if I'm wrong, saya perasan Dr ada mention your idea to integrate AI in your post doc project which also involve computational modelling, wasn't well accepted. So I'm wondering if you can share more about your view on AI in computational modelling. Currently I'm using commercially available tools like chimera, autodock vina, gromacs etc. Is there any AI tools that are already available in regards to computational modelling, or were you working on developing one during your post doc?
Wassalam, hi Al. Thanks for your question and congrats on your master's! Brief answer regarding your question: those software you mentioned haven’t used much AI yet. But I’m pretty sure their software/AI teams are working on embedding AI, or other startups are developing AI tools that could be used as plugins for these established programs. I suggest checking these companies' research units, stalking their white papers, and following their data scientists/software engineers on LinkedIn to see what's coming up. I’ve been doing that a lot to stay proactive in deciding my future paths. Let me know if you have any other questions ya! 😉
