This Was The Final Animated Disney Film To Use The Buena Vista Logo. The Said Logo Was Retired In 1984. The Next Animated Disney Film (The Black Cauldron) Was Second To Use The New Walt Disney Pictures Logo (First Introduced In Return To Oz)
Seriously, this into always gets me because it doesn't have music.. Like the movie itself is holding it's breath, unsure if it's a good idea to venture out. Just....god damn. Also,the visuals as so damn pretty!!
This must be the only Disney animated feature to collab between the nine old men (Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Wolfgang Reitherman) and the then-new crew members and animators (Glen Keane, Ron Clements, Don Hahn, etc.).
Every time i saw this scene as a kid i was so scared because i imagined the bad wolf lurking in the forest with those scary sounds and noises, Anyone agrees?

Funny thing that I knew about Copper:
Young VA plays Mouth in The Goonies as well as Donatello in the 1990 TMNT trilogy
Adult VA is Snake Plissken's actor.
And also behind the infamous album, Angelic 2 the Core.
From 5:08 The dog howlings sound familiar to the character of Copper when he howled at something during a hunting trip with Amos and Chief which is further on in the movie.
Kurt Russell was the actor who voiced the main protagonist in The Thing, that movie was released a year after The Fox and the Hound was released in 1981.

This opening seems more appropriate for a Friday the 13th movie than a Disney movie!

No previews anymore that's because there's no need for them you kids today don't know nothing y'all can just pull up stuff anytime y'all want to and just watch it but we had to sit through the previews are we had to fast-forward through them and after a while that messes the Caper and the sound quality in the visual quality looking back today it was much poorer that we didn't know that ended old days in the 90s we didn't know that we are the 90s kids

I think it’s a branch on one of the trees. I believe it’s blurred to give the illusion of getting closer, like how normal vision blues what isn’t focused on.

This scene was seriously not appropriate for children considering what happened to me when I first saw this scene, the fog, the scary sound, the trumpets, I seriously used to run to my parents crying like a crazy because I imagined the wild pouncing from the fog and maul me, if they were to remake this in live action for sure they would go lighter

This copy of the movie doesn't come with the trailer of "The Return of Jafar", so you have Version 1.
Yep but my copy is a later printing that was printed in February 1994, so this means my copy has The Return of Jafar preview.
