Best physical team is already established so people don't even bother with him. Even in harder content people use Ember instead for survivability.

The Originium mineral force ecolved animals, mythological creatures, and Fiends/monsters to all resemble humans over thousands of years. So its less that they are humans with animal traits and more that they are animals who became human. Edit: Laevatain is also based on a Devil/Fiend, not a Dragon.
Just a note: Oripathy is similar to cancer on Arknight universe. Everybody has it in a dormant state and is very much a question of how long one lives to get it. The detail is that Originium in blood is just inactive, so it does not cause the disease, however once it gets in contact with active, it does activate it causing the disease.

Some facts: Terrans/Talosians are not human-animal mutants, but animals *evolved* into humans due to being exposed to Originium, with some exceptions being Endmin as a construct (not exactly a human, but a construct made from Originium), and demon (Laevatain/Surtr)/ Angel (Ember) and maybe some more I've no idea about. Also calling Gilberta a dog is wild 🥀 she's a fox and behave like one, playful and stuff like that. Edit: Some of them like Laevatain, Ardelia, Gilberta and Pogranichnik are deemed "Reconveners" as they're made from Originium as well, using the "datas" (memories) of the deceased operators (from Oripathy "Originium infection") from original Arknights. They have nearly identical look to their respective past self but a unique personality compared to them, or you can say a whole new person with memories of the deceased for short.

Some facts:
Terrans/Talosians are not human-animal mutants, but animals *evolved* into humans due to being exposed to Originium, with some exceptions being Endmin as a construct (not exactly a human, but a construct made from Originium), and demon (Laevatain/Surtr)/ Angel (Ember) and maybe some more I've no idea about.
Also calling Gilberta a dog is wild 🥀 she's a fox and behave like one, playful and stuff like that.
Edit: Some of them like Laevatain, Ardelia, Gilberta and Pogranichnik are deemed "Reconveners" as they're made from Originium as well, using the "datas" (memories) of the deceased operators (from Oripathy "Originium infection") from original Arknights. They have nearly identical look to their respective past self but a unique personality compared to them, or you can say a whole new person with memories of the deceased for short.
I think your GF did hit on something with Arclight - I wonder if the problem is that the way they shade faces needed to be adjusted more for a darker skinned character which made her face looks less defined?
I think it's a mix of the lack of detail on her face but also the amount of detail on her midriff. Compare her midriff to Snowshine for example

No Arknights characters having animal parts is not because of Oripathy. Wulfgard does not have tattoos. Those are Oripathy marks. And Akekuri is a Shiba Inu. And Snowshine is a polar bear, you know, the type of bears that are known to be all white and live in cold areas?

Calls Laevatein a dragon (she's a Sarkaz, basically demon), calls Antal a dragon (he's a lizard), Calls Gilberta a dog (She's a Fox), He initially calls Akekuri a bunny... then they both call er a Fox.. She's a dog, specifically a Shiba Inu breed, Says "her ears!" to perlica's feathers (they aren't ears...) she's a bird, Catcher is a wolf not a dog, Xaihi is a SARKAZ (demon NOT Dragon), Estella "i don't know what animal she is" while looking at the most obvious cat ears in the game, SNOWSHINE - you guys really looked at the most obvious polar bear and said "panda". she even is snow themed wth. How can ppl be this dense not to mention she say "oh she snowboards so she looks american - as if no one else does it... when most Americans dont do it, Canadians, Japanes and Chinese all do it WAY more.

To fill in and complete her little PSA about Pandas: the whole thing is political, to sum it up in one sentence.
Due to Pandas being indigenous China (and only China), chinese rulers have used the dang things in diplomacy since around Wu Zetian's time (Fate GO players must be having a laugh right now), but this practice got a whole new level of disgusting when the Chinese Communist Party revamped it's policy on Pandas. While the CCP typically tries to maintain a facade that the private sector exists in China (it does not), when it comes to Pandas they're not even trying: shit is heavily controlled by the state and nobody is allowed to sell or gift them to zoos outside China, only loan them under extremely BS stipulations that give them way too much control. Loan costs are sky-high, the CCP can call off the Loan and have your Panda rights revoked whenever it pleases and any offsprings they have abroad belong to the CCP.
If your country had some or all of it's Pandas recalled ahead of their loan contract ends (or they refused to renew contracts), in all likelihood it's cause your country's government did something to piss off the CCP, once in a blue moon it happens over legit safety concerns over the pandas but those cases are extremely rare cause the zoos are well away they'll have to pay astronomical fines if something happens to those money sinks.
Overall, stuff like Kung Fu Panda and all the panda characters in gachas shouldn't be celebrated, at least not until Panda Diplomacy is disabled or otherwise dealt with, cause doing so only gives them more fuel to work with as nobody would give two shits about not having Pandas if not for precisely this kind of attention.

Snowshine outfit actually is accurate… the head, arms, legs and upper torso needs to be kept warm in snowy temperatures.. but the stomach actually benefits being kept colder (look at it on how cooling an engine improves performance slightly and the stomach is pretty much the human’s (or in case of Snowshine polarbear) Engine.
