According to Purans Mangal is the son of Mother Prithvi. Means mangal is generated from the Earth as the Mars. In the spritural stories mangal was born by sweat of lord Shiva. Mangal planet has called dominating by nature as per jyotish shastra. Jyotish shastra is based on 12 zoidac signs and grah, nakshatra etc. Mangal is called honour of Arise. The temple of Mangalnath is situted on banks of the Kshipra river in the holy city of Ujjain is situtated at center of the ancient world. Famous kark line or tropic of Cancer passes through Ujjain. This Temple is Devoted to Lord Mangalnath who is present here in the form of lord Shiva.
