Delisting point missed one detail : Vedanta couldn't delist because it offered a price of 87 rs. for buyback of shares and LIC, which had a considerable stake in Vedanta, refused to this.
price of 87 rs? but cmp is approx 250 rs? why anyone will sell it at 87 rs?

One of the subsidiary of Vedanta is Tuticorin Sterlite copper plant and it's shut down is also one cause.
This can happen in Mining compnies where initial investments are very high. V have many assets in India and aborad which have considerable valuation. You should have also explanined what will be impact on V india operations if V resource goes banktupt in abroad. 🤔

Not only purchasing companies, they've used debt to buy their own shares from open market after failing to delist. And intend to pay the debt by paying dividend to themselves.
Paying dividends that are more than the profits is not odd. As cos. can always pay special dividends. But borrowing money to pay dividends borders on financial criminality, despite the promoters holding a 68% chunk of equity. Bankers & financiers must be on the constant watch.

Prasad bhai No company can pay dividends by taking loan, in case of vedanta the company pays dividends out of its reserves and surplus. You can see it in balancesheet the reserve and surplus decreased 65000cr to 39000cr
They took 30000cr loans before Giving 2022 dividends.
Even if you are right ? Why did the company not repay the huge debt it has out of its reserves instead of paying dividend ? And then the company took more debt to repay previous debt.

@@rockeyinv7077 increase in debt is because of vedanta transferring retained profit to its parent company vedanta resources by way of dividend, so they don't have free cash on books to utilised it in current expansion plan of the company.

har badi company per debt hota hai aur jab yield badti hai to debt manage karne mai dikkat hoti hai isliye company ka share girta hai. Isme dikkat kya hai.
India mai jitni badi badi multinational company listed hai unki parent companies loan leke apne desh mai indian company ko fund karti hai isliye yaha per wo debt free hoti hai aur market unko 50-100 mutiple per valuation deta hai.

ofcourse not, invoice discounting is not for beginners. If you buy wrong bond, you will lose all money, it is not like a senior bond where you will get priority in case of liquidation of the company. Those who say yes to your questions are ignorant of the risks. If you have lots of money and are experienced to identify whose bond to buy, then I don't think you need someone's advice on this matter.
