    Great vid! seems you had ideal weather - including the floods in the Negev, which most people don't get to see.

    great video! I'll walk the trail very soon - 2 months left! The part at 2:24 looks frightening - are there any metal rings for extra security? Was it as frightening as it looks like?

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  6 лет назад +2

      Nice to hear and good luck getting prepared for the trip! There wasn't any extra rings or something in the part at 2:24. There was severe rain a week before I came to this point. I had enough grip so I felt comfortable about it; but the thought crossed my mind that if I would fall all of my gear would be wet...

    Bravo, beautiful film. What is the best season to make this trail?

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  9 лет назад +1

      Spring is the best season. I started from the South were it was still cool for desert-conditions and I it was a beautiful spring in the center and northern part.

      @OutdoorAhead  9 лет назад

      Don't people typically walk from north to south?

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  8 лет назад +1

      The main factor is the climate. I started in the South in February. At that moment is was a nice temperature in the desert. When I finished in the North in May the temperature was nice there, but it was getting quite hot in the South.
      The South is harder compared to the North, so that is why some people choose to start there and get in shape before the desert.

    great Film.I have 2 Question.Which song is in the movie and what camera (rod) did you use for the film

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  9 лет назад

      I used a GoPro Hero 2 with LCD backpack filming on ProTune. And I used all kind of mounts and straps that come with it.
      The song is "Inspiring by Audiopizza" (you can find it on Audiojungle).

    Hi Micha,
    this year I also walk the Israel National Trail .
    I would like to know how much water you have used every day in the desert you .
    And what backpack you had it. Deuter what type ?

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  8 лет назад +2

      +kappla1111 The amount of water needed differs person to person. In the guide book (by Jacob Saar and Yagil Henkin) I used is an indication of how much water is needed, that proved to be quite accurate, but I always took more water than needed to be sure (and being able to make an extra cup of tea is nice).
      I use my Deuter 65+10 Air Contact for years now and in my opinion it was an excellent investment.

    Hi Micha,
    with which program you cut the video .
    Especially the beginning with the scripture interest me

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  8 лет назад

      The general edit is done using Premiere and the intro is made with After Effects.

    כמה זמן לקח לך?

    • @OutdoorAhead
      @OutdoorAhead  7 лет назад +1

      It took me just over two months. I took more days off then needed when I met nice people or there was something nice to do.
