Why is it hard to sing? If you're referring to the climaxes, the highest note is where you can lean into head voice. Putting it lower would be harder, say F4. A4 and up is a piece of cake.

Duvall has gotten much better since his Comes with the Fall days when he used to open up for Jerry. He would open for JC , then come out during JC’s set and help with MITB. I’m just being honest, it was brutal! He cracked all up and down EVERY chorus. It was just Bad! But I’m happy to see the boys gave him a shot, he practiced and worked hard and now he’s making those old Alice songs work for him, in his voice. Right on WD👍🏻 I Think Mr Staley would approve 😎
Can't even come close to Layne. There's a video on RUclips of Layne signing this before they got super famous in Seattle, and the mic and speakers can't even handle the power in his voice.
Holy fuck, he's almost as good as Layne. He's gotten the emotions and the pronunciation of the words right which I think are hard to imitate when singing. Now, only that his voice higher pitched than Layne's and he can't vibrato as good as Layne and ofcourse, Layne-Jerry kind of harmonies are missing. But I am very impressed with DuVall, he's good
I understand what you're saying but would you try to replace a family member if they died? Probably not. The 3 remaining members understood that they made great music together but at the same time there was no replacing Layne Staley. Most fans are 50/50 on the subject. Half love that they continued on and the other half hate that Layne Staley isn't involved due to him no longer being with us. The real Red Foreman would make it simple and put his foot in your ass!
