    Wow Phillip, so gorgeous! Since you have so many varieties, thought you may want to consider 'Eclipse' black-leaf macro (new '24). I planted one in March and the dark leaves make for a stunning contrast. Vigorous grower too. SO glad I found your channel!

    ❤ all your hydrangeas especially the blue ones. I noticed most of your hydrangeas are going in shade. I have mostly sun. How can I grow some of yours in my yard. Thanks for sharing. 😊

    Very beautiful! Are any of these in shade?

    • @PhillipOliver
      @PhillipOliver  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, most of them get morning sun and afternoon shade. Some are in almost all shade (Tiny Tuff Stuff, Zorro, Pia).

    Why do you use small stones or river rocks in some areas in your garden. Is it for drainage or to keep small animals away? Your garden is absolutely beautiful.

      @@Debbio2222 mostly for decorative purposes. Some of the areas have been covered in pea gravel to avoid having to mow grass in small areas.

      @PhillipOliver oh, now that is an excellent idea. I thought it might have been to deter squirrels or something like that. We have a problem with constant digging in one particular area, and we think it is squirrels. Just thought maybe that was why you used the pebbles, trying to deter unwanted pests . Thank you for responding.

      @@Debbio2222 squirrels are a nuisance. If you have pots, I have found that sticking wooden or metal spikes in them helps a lot. I keep a supply that I cut from fencing panels.
