  • ST23 is a functional model of a Stirling engine in a "BETA" arrangement. The video begins with a demonstration of the finished engine. Continue with the production drawings and photographs, according to which the individual parts can be manufactured and finally assemble the entire engine.
ST23 je funkčný model Stirlingovho motora v usporiadaní "BETA". Video sa začína predvedením hotového motora. Pokračuje výrobnými výkresmi a fotografiami, podľa ktorých sa jednotlivé dielce dajú vyrobiť a nakoniec zostaviť celý motor.

information/observations. it should be understood that more energy is lost, in a more-complicated linkage.! the relative compactness of a beta configuration is actually a disadvantage.! because, the result is that the hot and cold sides are RIGHT NEXT to one another.
it can be seen that this vertical orientation undesirably locates the the cold side Directly ABOVE the hot side. it should be understood that the amount of Mass in every component that reciprocates SHOULD be Minimized.! this rule extends to NOT using massive brass bits in the linkages, if something lighter will do the job.!
10:49 the piston skirt is not long enough. as a result, there is less stabilization of the travel of the piston, and of the displacer shaft. it should be understood that when this type of wrist pin configuration is used, it is Necessary that an elongated piston be used.!
11:14 the concavity of the end of the displacer should not be there.! 18:32 the use of the small idler arm at the 'top' of the displacer shaft appears to be a less-than ideal design choice. noisy. googletranslate

I acknowledge that from a technical point of view all your comments are correct.
However, my goal when building engines is not their technical perfection. I simply amuse myself by looking for different types (makes) of engines and trying to build them.
So far, every one of my engines (25 pcs) has worked.
As for noise, I do not own such production equipment that would allow for more accurate and therefore less noisy products.

Hi Stefan - I just wanted to say this is one of the best made and engineered Stirling Engines on YT in my humble opinion. I was struggling with how to add a water jacket to several different stirling engine builds I am doing and you just answered that problem very clearly for me! Thank you for taking the time to post this - it is extremely informative and well put together. Please post more builds if you make any as I would love to see them. Instant subscription from me.

Did you make a generator out of them?
Or is it more of a work sample?
