I just noticed that Keiko has to change the texture of her voice depending on if she is harmonizing (in duet mode) with Wakana (with a soft floating voice) or someone like Hikaru with a more piercing/rock-like voice.

I like the rock element Kaori's voice lends to this version. I also agree that Keiko and Wakana sound great together. But I think that when Kaori adds her voice into the mix (Gaika) it sounds a bit better. Keiko's low voice has a bit more depth and Wakana's sounds a bit more richer and higher. Just my own opinion though. Feel free to disagree.
your comment reminds me to Sound Horizon's song, "the Endia and the Knights". there was Kaori-Yuuki-Remi there (the same Remi who joined Kajiura utahimes much later), with Kaori as the lead vocal.... Kaori's voice is 'fierce', strong and stable (?), it was nice to have her. However years later they add several singers to this song (Shimotsukin, Miki, and another one...sorry, forgot her name), and they shared the portion of the vocals (Kaori isn't the lead vocal anymore)..... and i don't like the result. I don't mean to say they are bad, but it lost the 'fierce' and strong feeling it supposed to have. haha sorry for the rambling, i just remembered about it XD
I totally agree with you. Pretty much what Hikaru does in Kalafina. Her rock and powerfully emotional voice enhances Keiko's deep and dark alto and Wakana's serene tragic soprano voice
How beautiful it must be, to see a perpetual Twilight sky. The purple, golden, blue hues must be absolutely incredible; hoping to one day activate my psyqualia and see it for myself.
Well not sure about that but Kaori is versatile in changing her tone, can belt better than anyone else in the group, can go brighter, has that lower range, and can use her head voice fairly well too. And she had that heavy vibrato. Lots of colors for her.

Yes, the band See-Saw did sing it. However, since the songwriter (Yuki Kajiura) who composed it had a falling out with the original singer (Chiaki Ishikawa), she went with another band, and so they got the chance to sing it.
@@lycorispeony1274 They didn't have a fall out. The band never really officially disbanded, and they both said it multiple times during their careers. Chiaki was a guest at Kajiura's live tour last year, and together held a See-Saw concert last December. And they're releasing a special a BEST album in June.

梶浦さんはSee-sawが活動休止してから劇中BGMや楽曲提供をメインに活動してまして。英語や造語のコーラスが複雑に入り乱れる曲をライブで再現するために集めたメンバーになります。この映像から多少人の入れ替えはありましたが現在もライブで東名阪回ったりfictionjunctionという名義でCD出してます。
バンドメンバーもSee-saw時代からサポートし続けてるイケおじ集団ですよ
