The guard that punched D-236 and looked angry deserves to get infected by the ticks. Why does he have the gall to act angry? Dude has no right to make that expression when the test subject was in distress. Toss that worthless guard into the lizard's cell, even. The D-class may be expendable objects at best, but that's no way to treat an object.
What happens if you kill it? From what I gathered in the video, it binds a telepathic connection with the victim, causing anyone who was emotionally attached to the victim to lose all memory of the victim, and ability to acknowledge the victim’s presence is lost too, but if you kill the tick, the telepathic connection would, logically, be broken, would they get their memories back, would it be like nothing had happened, or would the effects last forever, even if it’s killed?
Man, this is like, a existential crisis SCP, having your loved ones not even acknowledging you, like you’re not there or act like they never knew you. It’s like becoming a ghost. Just, horrible
As horrifying as this SCP is.. I still have a mad respect for insects, specifically arachnids. I've always been fascinated by insects and have respected the species of the world either from a distance or up close. I try my best to move bugs instead of killing them With that said, this bug sucks
in my opinion, id say that 1655's effects would likely stop evolving upon death meaning that if the instance is killed new connections could be made without the threat of anomalous response as well as the nature of this psychic ability not actually being permanent means that along with the instances death connections can be re-established. BUT, the response the loved ones have to affected individuals should have a new effect, while this condition can be cured it means that the disgust reaction now plays a bigger role as if the individual's thinking falls more in line with what SCP-1655 wants to accomplish then the effect on them is more likely to be permanent. this means if you love someone that hates you then there is no way to recover that social connection and if you constantly illicit the disgust response from your loved one then the likelihood of the effects being permanent increases as they can technically see you it's just that their mind is being forced to not perceive you thus the disgust is attributed to you. this also would mean that once the effects are permanent and the related SCP-1655 instance is terminated the disgust response would no longer occur as said response is meant purely to elicit negative emotions from the victim
There is one issue with that though, there's no telling quite what would happen when killing an instance of it, would it result in everyone in a radius around it becoming overwhelmed with sorrow and other negative emotions perhaps? Lots of things that can go wrong.
@@Darca1n i mean no original thing makes no mention of such phenomenon as they are aware of the effects persisting after the SCP's death and have likely killed some so if such a great effect was to be the case they'd probably have known and in the SCP description. also, that doesn't really hold much relevance to my comment as my comment has more to do with the primary effects it has on people as given my stance/desire for the SCP's function this death wail would be temporary as it wouldn't serve any purpose to the SCP and would be more of a panic response born from them simply having their abilities cus if they used this ability they'd likely also have died and thus it provides no evolutionary advantage
so i know it's secure "contain" and "protect" but sometimes you just need to exterminate a designation, this is one of them more importantly, if you kill it, does it undo the effects of those it's bitten?
Ah yes, another SCP I'm familiar with thanks to Professor Lucius. Unfortunately this was in a video before the character Agent Chen was introduced so there wasn't Kloss/Chen team up investigation involved.
I kinda feel like the whole story would make more sense if it was the other way around. If the victim was drained of their love and affection for others and would just not care, the whole telepathic part about influencing everyone the victim ever meets wouldn’t be so vague.
Phew, good thing I'm anomalously good at not attracting ticks. Also I will take note: the SCP foundation does not share the same appreciation for cats as I do because they let a kitten STARVE.
So uh. The guy in high school is a completely different person the guy when he gets married and onward. Like different character models. Anyone else notice that?
This one might have a connection to the scp called "it" they seem to feed off of similar sources of food. Further investigations could lead to something useful
Imagine you're asked to go to odd foundation, just to ask if you see something, when there's clearly nothing there, but then suddenly you feel something touching you, just to be greeted by the scientist's shocked expression, as you feel sudden disgust without reason as the touch feeling re appear
At least in that movie, Peter could make new memories with people if he wanted to. He chooses not to, out of fear for their safety. This anomaly? There is no second chance, just misery whenever you try to forge a positive bond with someone.
The video was good, but I was deeply unimpressed by this SCP. It's just too ridiculous. It can affect everyone who knows the subject? No matter the range? The effect is fully persistent across every living subject forever? This power is at a level that I'd have a hard time accepting in even an extremely powerful reality warper, much less a tiny insect. It doesn't feel consistent with the rest of the SCP universe to me. I just don't like it.

Dude has no right to make that expression when the test subject was in distress. Toss that worthless guard into the lizard's cell, even. The D-class may be expendable objects at best, but that's no way to treat an object.
Let 682 eat him
So that's the tick I got bit by when I was like 10
What happens if you kill it?
I like how the foundation just let's the cat starve.
could have fed it after achieving the results but naw
Y-you _like_ that…?
2:57 that’s my favourite book too! 🤓
As horrifying as this SCP is.. I still have a mad respect for insects, specifically arachnids. I've always been fascinated by insects and have respected the species of the world either from a distance or up close. I try my best to move bugs instead of killing them
With that said, this bug sucks
Then check these ones: scp 775, 302, 1953 and 006-j
Arachnids are not insects, though.
@@unduloid yeah I suppose not, people still call em that tho lmao
This tick sounds like Malivore 😳
in my opinion, id say that 1655's effects would likely stop evolving upon death meaning that if the instance is killed new connections could be made without the threat of anomalous response as well as the nature of this psychic ability not actually being permanent means that along with the instances death connections can be re-established.
"We Have No Friends"
That’s gotta be the best anthology I’ve seen by far.
Fun fact: I'm immune to brown recluse
Also if I decide to disappear can I narrow ur tick please? :)
How did you find that out?
“Easy to make friends and relationships”
Introverts: *Burns down an orphanage*
These effects can also happen when you spend too much time on Twitter
Underrated comment
Go to 15:23 fun fact I got my right hippocampus removed cuz I had seizures
so i know it's secure "contain" and "protect"
but sometimes you just need to exterminate a designation, this is one of them
more importantly, if you kill it, does it undo the effects of those it's bitten?
Clearly we need to export this tic to the EU facilities... Because they try to exterminate abnormal entities.
bro got me crying over animated d classes and cats
Ah yes, another SCP I'm familiar with thanks to Professor Lucius. Unfortunately this was in a video before the character Agent Chen was introduced so there wasn't Kloss/Chen team up investigation involved.
I kinda feel like the whole story would make more sense if it was the other way around. If the victim was drained of their love and affection for others and would just not care, the whole telepathic part about influencing everyone the victim ever meets wouldn’t be so vague.
I... I think I might have met this one... that would explain a lot of things about my crappy life
ticks people off. What was i on making that?
Phew, good thing I'm anomalously good at not attracting ticks.
Also I will take note: the SCP foundation does not share the same appreciation for cats as I do because they let a kitten STARVE.
"ANOMALOUSLY YOU SAY?" -every Scp researcher at once
The foundation should keep Dr. Bright far away from this one
So, what happens if you use this on sight based anomalies?
This is honestly one of the most scary scps. Which says a lot considering universe ending scps aren’t uncommon.
First anomalous maggots, now anomalous ticks, what next?
Anomalous bedbugs?
So uh. The guy in high school is a completely different person the guy when he gets married and onward. Like different character models. Anyone else notice that?
People change when they get married.
Could you do the other anomalous tick that’s related to this one, scp-775?
This one might have a connection to the scp called "it" they seem to feed off of similar sources of food. Further investigations could lead to something useful
So the reason women can’t perceive me is due to an anomalous tick? Good to know.
That's not quite how this anomaly works. It simply severs all existing relationships. I'm aware this might be a joke.
How is there a totally blank comment from no user? Someone should report this bug to youtube
17:12 amogus bottles
Yet another reason to avoid nature preserves
Burn 'em all, I say!
1:17me who has shit ton of homework and sick:no... not really help
Love it
Imagine you're asked to go to odd foundation, just to ask if you see something, when there's clearly nothing there, but then suddenly you feel something touching you, just to be greeted by the scientist's shocked expression, as you feel sudden disgust without reason as the touch feeling re appear
AMONGUS 18:24
In fact, put them all in 682's cell.
Worst scp, destroy it immediately, did you see what it did to that poor kitten? Must be terminated this instant.
Alternatively, the tick should be put on the scientists that came up with and went through with that experiment on the kitten
The cat never said it wanted too! It's not a criminal!
This is what happened at the end of Spider Man: No Way Home 😞
Poor Peter Parker 😔😔😔
At least in that movie, Peter could make new memories with people if he wanted to. He chooses not to, out of fear for their safety. This anomaly? There is no second chance, just misery whenever you try to forge a positive bond with someone.
How often do l make jokes about chemistry? Periodically.
I fully agree. Was thinking the same thing when I came across this comment.
I am still think this is a Keter Anomaly, because they don't know how many there out there.

I wonder if the death of the ticks will cause their effects to disappear? Perhaps a total extinction of the species?
If it is a psychic link, you would think so
