All this content over the last 6 months from Andrew and Ronnie is making me fall in love with Troopys. One of the best builds for a 4wd I've ever seen.
The brown bull bar and carpet takes me back to the late 70's when dad got his first 4x4 a FJ55. Our family haven't had brown as a colour in any part of their cars since lol. It's an awesome long distance remote tourer for sure. I could get lost out in the centre country for a month or more in that. Thanks again Ronny for making Sunday morning's cuppa the best cuppa of the week.
Ant is a magical man. Being parked up next to the troopy all weekend at the Perth 4wd show I had the pleasure of Ant and the troopy beside me. Tremendous fella and a great vehicle.
Back in the day we slept in panel vans and hatchback cars now it's 4wd cars , we getting older and thank God 4 roof top tents and troopys and nice caravans to hang out in
I live in the Middle East. In Australia, Africa and the Middle East we are lucky to still be able to buy the magnificent, war-grade Toyota Landcruiser 70 series vehicles. Amazing reliability, even by Toyota standards. If you are spending this much money on mods, it better be on a Toyota.
I remember watching that 76 years ago! It was so tidy and done to a high level. Gave me ideas for my Prado build. This troopy build definitely making me consider getting one. I remember thinking “This guy must at least 7 foot” 😆 Great episode once again 👍
sell the prado, buy something with 2 diffs..unless,,you dont go 4x4ing.. or carry spare cv,s & tie rods.. prado,s are tiny.. no good spending thousands, & a $20 tie rod shts.. theres a vid called off road hub.. he went thru that many, he fitted s/duty diffs..
You watch too much youtube mate, no one in the real world including the transport department and insurance companies care about gvm on passenger light vehicles
@jarrod1687 i drive interstate for work. You would be surprised how many times i see the mermaids have 4wds and/or caravans and motor homes pulled in. Since NHVR has taken over, they have got alot more $$$ hungry.
Way to go - once I finish my 2020 200 series I want to do a troopy with a full roof conversion. This is awesome with lots of great ideas! The bar work is awesome and well thought out overall. Love to know why this guy does for a living - he is practical and calm!
Never even heard of that awning brand before. I thought I knew them all. But yours is awesome. Fully Aussie made and a good solid 270! Will be thinking of getting this or the bush company xt. Epic build by the way!
What a beast of a Troopy. I fully agree it is bloody great to rock up somewhere and have a sleep without people knowing you are even there. That's why I've set up my Pajero for exactly that. Park it up and climb in bed. A Troppy though would offer so much more in options.
Enjoyed the walk around.👍 Impressive set-up. It was good hearing your rational for the choices you made. Having driven these as off-road ambulances, troopies will always have a special place in my heart, & made me question my choice of going with a '79, but I'm not going to change horses now. Look forward to maybe crossing paths on a remote track sometime.
fantastic episode, the bullbar is spectacular. Good to see a return with a different vehicle. Great to see a functional build, bet Ronny took some seriously good notes
I can confirm that LIFE STOPS WHEN YOU SELL YOUR TROOPY! I plan to be buried in my 2022 build Troopy so I will never experience it again. T R O O P Y L I F E 🤙🏼
Great build, makes my 2010 look poor. However I love my Troopy, built came tax deduct able, it has a split personality, one day work, two days later off road beast. Great to hear that at 250K I'am still running in after going to the 4 corners of OZ
Glad you're getting more sponsors! But please do not fall into the trap where you end up advertising untested/unproven products just to get sponsorship money (like some other channels). It has not happened in this video, but just something to keep in mind. Your videos carry a lot of trust. I live in Zambia and there aren't many affordable 4wd gear manufacturers in our region. So people doing builds sometimes send their cars to Botswana or South Africa to get customized, or they import parts from AU based on yours and others' recommendations. The idea being that if upgrading is going to be expensive, then might as well get something reputable and reliable. So yeah, only advertise the good stuff 🙏 Great channel! Keep the vids coming!
As a general rule Southwest Antennas recommends customers place omni-directional antennas a minimum of one wavelength apart from one another, while three wavelengths apart or greater is preferred. This can be easily calculated by hand or by using an online calculator.

Can’t go wrong with a troopy, they really are a lifestyle vehicle and a community in themselves of troopy owners 🤟🏻
This rig is a BEAST

I like troopy builds that aren't the usually camper setup. It's unique, in my opinion.
One of the few who has the better approach for tires, outfit for the worst you expect not for the stuff you see most.

Yes it does remind you of the 70's, but the color is coming back (the new Jimnys are coming out in this color and look great).
hah! i put a 70 series brown dash in my fj55 :p
I have a 70s typewriter in the exact same colors 😄
28:55 I use mine as a daily driver for last 15yrs, got a new one on order that will be modified even more for long range touring.
One hell of a rig he has built and now its a even better colour what a fantastic build and bloke to boot.
I remember the Black Knight, looked for him on the web - found nothing. Happy to see he’s back. Cool guy.
Ant is a magical man. Being parked up next to the troopy all weekend at the Perth 4wd show I had the pleasure of Ant and the troopy beside me. Tremendous fella and a great vehicle.
Thanks, Matt, likewise :)
Wow...down to earth bloke...what an absolute champion this guy is...
Love the truck! Its so intimidating and can do looking.
Ronny taking the higher ground in this one
What a stonker of a rig.... wow. Ant seems like a nice bloke too.
Omega speed master…. A man of taste I see
Back in the day we slept in panel vans and hatchback cars now it's 4wd cars , we getting older and thank God 4 roof top tents and troopys and nice caravans to hang out in
Love the look of the bullbar….
The brown looks really good as well. No way did I think it was a 2008.. actually thought it was a 2021-2022

Or a Jeep! :D
These days I noticed they are available in Colombia. Now, I dream about one. And left-hand drive!
It’s a shame that Middle East gets the petrols tho aye
We have them in New Zealand as well
@@snake5219 In many GCC states, diesel is more expensive than petrol. So we like our petrol V8s!

@@harrywalker968 Prado is a fine vehicle.
102 episodes of my favourite segment, this episode was a top 3…… well done Ronny
Mark and James Robert's at Rapidpower are absolute legends! Miss those guys.
One of the best Troopys around, hands down.
Absolutely love this troopy. ❤️
Yeah, its a sweet build.
Two great builds, this guy (Ant?) is inspirational. Well presented Ronny! Ahh, how we all wanted a Troopy....sigh.
She’s an awesome build. Thanks for sharing.
goes everywhere .. except past the heavys GVM checkpoint .. nah good looking beast!

Thanks to you both for sharing this awesome troopy. Great build, very well thought about and the envy of many for many a reason. Well done 👍
incredible rig and even better bloke. definitley the best modified to date
Seen this travelling from Busselton to Bunbury a couple weeks back. It's definitely a rig. 👌👌

This must have the gvm upgrade to carry all this gear. Definitely a man with means who knows what he likes. Enjoy
Can’t wait to see what he builds next
Whats in the draw? "Backpackers" haha classic

Just 2 minutes in, and this is hilarious! Loved the last video of this dude, and looking forward to the rest.
Been waiting for this episode for ages! Love this build, awesome stuff!
I love the troop carrier, wish we in the U S A could buy them, already think of all the mods i would do. Nice rig and well thought out, thx. Matt
What a fantastic build! Love it, especially the bars. A bit risky naming anything that include the name "pedo" but what do i know ;)
Troopy and defenders are The Best Overlanding and 4WD Beast in the world
black kinte was my 1st RD vid, been subed since
That troopy is nearly as nice as boomythetroopy!😏 what a beautiful piece if art though👌
** almost ;)
Ronny. You should serious do more with other legend. Typical troopy owner like me. Best modified yet 💯
This is a sick rig!
Would have been awesome to see Malcolm Douglas and his pioneering cruiser on this.
Ronny’s camera man filmed a series of two of Malcom
Fantastic video.
Thanks a lot guys.
I've learnt a lot 👍🤝
Wow. This is one truck i love to get my hands on. Very cool.
영상을 볼때마다 느끼는거지만 호주의 자연환경은 오프로드의 즐거움을 느낄수 있는 천국같음~ 물론 차량 튜닝의 즐거움도 최고~
Bloody love my Troopy 👍

T R O O P Y L I F E 🤙🏼
its really cool seeing a tricked out 78, dont see many of those around in SA... a lot of 79's, few 76's but basically no 78's
Two beauties. I have seen far worse getting your attention (ha ha ha ha) and money, so these 2 will definitely be winners ! Best with restoring.
Fantastic episode.with a fantastic vehicle.
Bloody hell mate. I have the biggest smile watching this sexy car, even have me drooling.
Great 4x4 Ronny🙋♂️💪💪💪
Bloody hell! Intro could be from he Camel Trophy. :O That vehicle looks awesome indeed. I drive my 76 mainly on tarmac but I want those tyres! :D
Great content as always. Thanks for sharing
nice car is one of the most robust for off road and I like how you have prepared it😍
Man I need to see how this dude climbs into that bed with about 17” of headroom lol 😲
Nice setup
Hey Ronda, you should do an episode on troopies with comparisons over the years. History of the troopy.
Thank you for chapters
Thank you for 60FPS
Nice work gentlemen 🤠👍🏼
Love this episode! Pure enjoyment 🤙🏼
Loved the intro tune 👌
Wow I was not expecting that to be a 2008

Nicely done!
Makes me wish I could get a troopy in the states easily.
I so wish the USA could get stuff like this
Very Nice😊
Taup-edo very clever 😆
Bitchin' ride. Thought-out, not just bling or fashionable crap. Go over show. I dig it.
i love me some troopy.
Looks heavy 😳

the only to Toyota I'd own, the troopy
What a rig😍
With the TAUPEDO number plates i was waiting on Taubs to jump out.
yep .. travelled around Oz in a Troopy
I want to see more budget and IFS Modifieds. U.S. is filled with budget IFS SUVs to wheel.
But Australia still has lots of front and rear solid axles! 😁
Wow lovely build!!
@@DaciaProject I love that about Australia. They understand solid axles are better!

Love the sorta car, it’s sorta nice. I sorta wish I had one
