hi, r2d dev here, thanks for the feedback on the exp grind and how monotonous it is, i'm taking your feedback into consideration and will be talking to the rest of the dev team about the criticism you've brought up
Ready 2 Die is a game created by Synween and arsa5x, the game is a revival of Reason 2 Die: Awakening by PlaceRebuilder, both games are free to play ROBLOX Multi-player Zombie Survival games. Survivors must survive while doing various objectives in order to win while fighting endless hordes of zombies, which will try to stop them from doing so. The game includes new additions and features that were not present in Reason 2 Die: Awakening. Ready 2 Die had previously went under the name Reason 2 Die: Definitive Edition however was told to change as a request from PlaceRebuilder. For information about the game history, click here.
All the zombie games are balanced in a way where progression becomes an arms race between zombies and survivors, as they become increasingly more powerful until it comes over to a point where gameplay is unfair for both sides. Ultimately, newer players suffer for it, as balance often revolves around the peak of either sides’ power (higher levels), leading to focused changes that neglect players starting out in an effort to keep experienced players engaged.
22:18 You are right about never having to get ammo for it. The average survival round is 4 minutes long. To drain all the ammo of the gun it would take 162 seconds, (972 bullets/6 per second) assuming the fire rate of 6 means 6bullets/sec. Thats nearly 3 minutes not even accounting for reloading the fucking thing. Accounting for reloads, that adds an additional 208 seconds. (This is because the gun starts loaded already.) Assuming non-stop firing at the maximum speed, it would take you 370 seconds, or 6 minutes and 10 seconds to run out of ammo for the thing. Uncle Dane was exaggerating when he said you wouldn’t run out of the pistol’s 200 reserve ammo (12 in clip, 212 total) but with this you’re going to run out of time in the fucking round before you get close to running out.
i like zombie games but too many of them are basically just cod zombies I want a zombie game where you have to survive until you find an escape like left for dead (incursion is a good example) or a sci fi style game where you have to research and fight off a zombie virus whilst getting better weapons and knowledge about the zombies
I mean to be honest Humans vs Zombies as a whole series felt like a roller coaster. One that got old very, very fast. We can all agree that the best time to play it was indeed v3 where the game was peak with uninfection and extreme survival and other modes until it broke after a roblox update and homer couldnt fix it because he had college. Being someone who has played the Return of Humans vs Zombies I will say it is an overall good game that could use some balancing tweaks to both sides. I liked the boss fighting thing because i cant name another zombie game with that in it. It's a great game but it got abandoned by all the developers who worked on it. Plus there isnt enough content for either side. The point requirement increases between items can go from $500 to $1200 very fast. It would be better if there were more things to buy in between those items, and they could've also made it a bit less grindy to get the items you want. But talking about this game getting updates is like talking to a brick wall. It's sad to see a game with a bunch of potential go to waste honestly. It hurts thinking what the game couldve turned into compared to what it is now.
It's joever Reddit 2 die bros, he made a video talking about how the absolute perfection of Reddit 2 die is fake. We ain't doing this Reddit, it's over for Reddit 2 die.
Honestly watching all your videos I think I'm gonna stay away from Ready 2 Die, it just sounds like the original TUC remake but worse. Also 12:16 - 12:23 THATS WHAT I'M SAYIN-. Seriously why do so many games make rad event content then throw it all away instead of just letting us play it without the rewards? Mutation sounds like it might be fun, the mere thought of ramming a subspace-tripmine attached car into a zombie is pure comedy gold to me. I didn't even know there was another TUC remake, it actually sounds like fun, given the developer seems to be taking the first games criticism into account. Overall goated video.
I remember when Reason 2 Die shutdown, I didn't even know it was shutting down and I had just started to play it again after awhile, so after I had gotten back into it, it shutdown, unfortunate timing
As someone who loved mutation, the anti-fun update really fucked everything up. I’m sure that, if that update would’ve never happened, the game would still have a normal amount of players
You SHOULD play Re:infected. Never has it made playing zombies so fun. It's based off the Counter Strike zombie maps/escape modes and they pull a fun twist of giving you special mutant zombies that can absolutely wreck servers. As someone who often played those gamemodes, I found myself preferring to be a zombie main due to how fun and chaotic it is once you get a special zombie that allows you to formulate a plan to infect. This game is not easy for the human teams. They often lose. It is unforgiving and absolutely brutal.
Hey, I’m a debugger for R2D It wasnt mentioned in the video, but the game is currently going under a lot of changes. the entire game is being recoded, primarily by our new programmer ur_lucky. So the bugs and inconsistencies we see ingame are on their way out But in regards to game balance, the debug team can’t stop talking about it amongst themselves. I myself especially And I agree with the current problems you mentioned, it seems after all this time we can’t deviate from the cycle of gameplay that’s existed since 2019. What I notice is that we keep repeating mistakes and I think it’s due to the fact that the people who were previously, and currently in charge of game balance are just not analytical enough I myself want to keep asking questions as to what’s wrong, I try to go in depth and here’s what I think: The survivor team, HR’s in particular, are too powerful with weaponry The zombie team struggles not only because of the power of survivors, but also because of the faultiness in the game’s maps. Level design is very underrated in consideration to the game’s balance. What I think happened is that the people in charge of balance see the zombies struggling to due to level design, thought that it’s because zombies aren’t powerful enough, and buffed their damage significantly all without wanting to change the survivor’s weapons. Except for the swarmer, all zombies types have been buffed in R2D in comparison to the base stats of their R2DA counterparts I may not be as credible as GenZombs, but if you still like the idea of an interview I’m willing to speak about the matter. I’m in the R2D discord as “Renowned”
As some one with over 300 hours in mutation I can say from experience. Humans can still be op, you just need a good load out. And the game can still be fun if you try to play a more interesting play style.
It's very refreshing to see someone actually call the COD zombies clones COD zombies clones, and L4D clones as L4D clones. People seem to be so reluctant to call out Roblox games for being lazy clones of other games.
I love zombie games I just wish every single one of them wasn't wave/round based. if we had more open wold survival ones take inspiration from dayz or rust it would be more refreshing
maybe it's due it low players and old from what I checked and I quitted not because I have not so great perks and potato pc I would always lag out when something the boomer went to front of me etc. etc. and lag issue and I keep forgetting what to do I been wondering is there low grapc settings seriously on The Final Stand 2? btw I been wanting play it again tbh
I feel like R2D just needs to work on its problems, its like got potential and I honestly find the game fun for a few hours until people vote shoot' em up town PVE, honestly spawn camping is very much a map issue and the moving of the spawns around in maps like boathouse singlehandedly fixes that, one thing though is that in some servers players just pick the same 3 maps leaving to you not really experiencing any variety, the addition of lower ranked guns like the Mac 10 and buffs to other ones like the python (its still kinda ass though) are nice improvements
(Sorry i was really tired when i wrote this ignore grammar pls ) I’m gonna talk about the issues you listed in the video, my perspective and some of the things I agree and disagree with coming from a new-gen who has played more of R2D than R2DA before it’s shutdown. As well as the issues with the game as well as someone who has been in that community constantly active since the summer update for R2D. R2D has had one of the worst development cycles I've ever seen. From what I know the game was coded by four (three people? Idk about syn) people who are Ailbric, Syn, Arsa and Lucky. Ailbric didn’t know how to code for shit and was the manager which is why the game constantly released sporadically and buggy (summer update and a bit of the halloween update). As of now ownership has shifted to the other three(?) and since the announcement of R2D: beta which is an entire recode of R2D because of those issues arsa has been dealing with some family issues which i think are resolved now as well as lucky being sick at the moment but was carrying development for beta while arsa was gone. I’m not sure about syn but I do know that some debuggers have told me that dev is going good on beta and I trust their word. I bring all of this up because it led to the launch of a product which was unfinished and left out a lot of things which ruined the gameplay especially for new players. For starters the game is horribly unfinished, most of the campaigns that were promised are gone. The first campaign for R2D was to lay a foundation for future campaigns which doesn’t exist anymore because of development shifting to beta as well as no bosses existing atm. The lack of any content other than PVE and other servers has led this game into literally creating clans to play specifically battlestation servers and to sweat at just that rather than play the actual zombie part of the game because of all the content missing. The people who still do play this game consist of people playing to grind (PVE servers) or battlestation/ms players who play competitively. There’s nothing other than these two playstyles and survival and campaign are overshadowed because of how horribly everything is balanced in both of those gamemodes. 10 minutes of a round when half of the server is zombies is crazy and would be better if it was 5 minutes given how broken both sides of the two teams are. The zombie team is horrible to play whenever you join grind servers at the start of rounds and are stuck dealing with people spamming rpg and flamey or when you're forced onto it. You should be able to volunteer onto the zombie team before as a last resort forcing players onto it. What made the game less boring was when the zombie team had a variety of unique things forcing people to work together (ex: stalker grabbing people and bringing them to death or brute and elem electrifying) and now that most of that shit is gone there's a huge gap in that as well as levels not existing anymore. The lack of adding any of that led to so many boring rounds just waiting to be on the survivor team, especially being spawn killed before halloween update gave an incentive to actually try to hurt players. The fact that you can’t really get money from hurting people on pills also sucks too because that should give you more money to make them a target, anything to keep the players together to survive or kill if u know what i mean. Why I stuck around and played R2D and R2DA so long was the group effort and how chaotic the game can get. I loved driving around in trucks and buildings and I feel half of the fun is now gone with a lot of that stuff being taken away for band aid issues for lack of content. To get to a lot of that fun you need to grind grind grind and just use the next better weapon or a worse weapon to actually stand a chance. The stats between a low rank and high rank weapon are so fucking high that it makes using any weapon below a certain rank garbage and harder to play with, especially when some weapons are just better versions of others, and ESPECIALLY FOR MELEES. I think the grinding for this game is really bad and dedicated servers for gift hunting are just another band aid fix until Beta and honestly I think when beta does come out it’ll make the game actually replayable and not be rushed out the way it was before. I hope grinding is also fixed because I honest to god spent 8 hours grinding for a green gift which shouldn't even be a gameplay mechanic for something probably not worth my time. I saw a video response to this one (“Don't change R2D's identity”) which talked a lot about your video and how the “identity” of R2D being so unforgiving in some spots is the point and it shouldn't try to keep the average roblox players attention which I kinda agree with but the way he explains it sucks and I want to bring it up. R2D has always been a community game but when the game needs balancing for new players it should happen, spending 8 hours for green gift as a new gen or grinding for hours at a time to rank up sucks and just to get a better gun. EXP horribly needs an overhaul because you can make money so fast but not EXP, the party bonus tbh should give more than just 50 specifically for exp. I do think this game needs a rebalance to give newer players an advantage because playing on an alt I only could get to barely rank 18 before clocking out because of how boring and harsh it was on new players. More server types and specific rank requirements need a return like rank 30 only or beginner servers (like combat warriors, this does a good job at teaching the player before moving them to a bigger server) as well as boss servers and ps. There needs to be things that balance out the game as well as accommodate for all the new players because this isnt a 2014 game it’s r2d.
I think when beta comes out it won't be like R2D alpha, btw this is in alpha and it will introduce some important core features like bosses and specific servers and more zombies which sounds crazy but needed. I hope arsa n' lucky can fix the mess ailbric left for them and make R2D a more faithful less laggy and buggy revival.
@@rustyzbone Honestly as a guy that once main/played Reason 2 Die for years on my original account, what you said is 100% the true, I had alot of fun playing this game, but looking back at it now, is depressing to say that this game should forever be forgotten cause of how dogshit the community and creator were, Reason 2 Die was one of those games that were so bad it was good to play, it was honestly fun just playing with the community/randoms, a thing I noticed that I couldn't get from other games I played, where you just play with random, in Roblox, you were able to make and meet friends easily, but because of how unbalance reason 2 die was, how elite and un-beginner friendly the game was, it was just impossible to enjoy the game, and ultimately it's downfall in my personal opinion is deserved but was so sad, because the game and even community had so much potential.

Tbh I always loved being a zombie back in old 2016 r2d when they added deadvolpment. The reactions to people seeing my maxxed out edgars was always hilarious 😂 NEW R2D THOUGH... Oh lordy lord was that just dogshit terrible 💀
RE:Infected is fun to play as even though the players are strong, they are still one shot to most hits (except Area 51 Objective). That makes it more engaging you have to be more aware and the grind for weapons doesn’t matter. A mini gun is only a panic button and not needed. It’s nice, fun, and hard to win on some map. The maps that suck is Dummy Industrial and fucking Starter city.
IMO undead coming is still flawed as hell Along side with annoying reload speed long enough for me to die and reincarnate to which I finally insert the mag for my mp5 The grind is grindier than ready to die you can do the quests sure, but the challenges like “25 survivor wins for 6k grey bricks” just makes me think more they turned the game into a grinder just so it can maintain a concurrent player base that just want better gear, but is hindered by the max level zombie mains that don’t like feeling inconvenience of being a survivor (yes I’ve met these people before just think of people who use cheesy tactics in fighting games or look up meta and there you go) And the fact that the charger is absurdly broken and honestly forces me to hold onto the boomstick just so I can shut them down before they do anything And actively break the charger even more with a shaking screen effect that stuns you for a whole decade long enough to take away all of your health in seconds is extremely annoying The charge doesn’t even have a wind up or anything you just activate the ability and you win it’s terrible The number of times I’ve gotten last standing only to be stopped by a zombie main using maxed out charger and due immediately is extremely annoying Sure zombies may be “fun” to play as but it’s not fun to fight against a max speed span jumping crawler Sure I see the attempt to make zombies fun to play but they’ve over fed the zombie side and left the human side with the leftovers and the bits that aren’t even that good
Tips to fix the zombie team problem: Step 1: Make the players only be the special zombies so, you can't play as regular zombies. Step 2: Have the guns be skins with same dmg, firerate, range, and ammo so the zombie team can survive better. Step 3: Explosions going through walls cannot do that anymore for spawn killing. Step 4: Make a free roam spawn so, they don't get spawn killed. Step 5: Pick any zombie (specials only) and if full then choose the other. Step 6: If no one wants to pick zombie team just spam the hell out of ai zombies that often come in hordes.
First idea is good Second idea is very bad, straight up. I'm assuming you meant to make weapons a bit less unequal. Idea 3 gives me mixed feelings, but after thinking for a while, I don't think we play much on closed maps, just more gameplay on open maps, but then we'd need more closed maps Idea 5 is what I wanted a long time ago, free zombie picks Last idea would need some optimization to not lag the servers or players
i personally think the only good roblox zombie game out right now (that i've played) was Re:Infected, it felt like it had a pretty good idea of balance between the zombies and the humans, never felt too one sided most the time

I've seen Reason 2 die, die and be revived in a continous loop and I really hope R2D actually fixes up yk?
with Ailbric being out of the picture for development on that game, and a beta being promised, I do really hope we get a solid R2DA continuation, not because Im "nostalgic" but because I find actual fun within the core concept of the game
There’s genuine potential with the concept, it just keeps getting squandered and making the bad aspects worse, or simply ignores them.
man i love this series, keep talking about zombies again!
Glad we have more zombie fans
@@Breadianhave u ever played Zombie Survival Garry’s Mod? It’s another clone u might be interested in
i agree on TUC:A being way better than the original. deadass remember the devs balancing the guns based on their cost
Imagine one of these games but it's inspired from something like Zombie Night Terror, where you have to control the zombies and mutate them and stuff. I dont know, just something with a different direction
hi, r2d dev here, thanks for the feedback on the exp grind and how monotonous it is, i'm taking your feedback into consideration and will be talking to the rest of the dev team about the criticism you've brought up
Ready 2 Die is a game created by Synween and arsa5x, the game is a revival of Reason 2 Die: Awakening by PlaceRebuilder, both games are free to play ROBLOX Multi-player Zombie Survival games.
Ultimately, newer players suffer for it, as balance often revolves around the peak of either sides’ power (higher levels), leading to focused changes that neglect players starting out in an effort to keep experienced players engaged.
literaly played R2D once because i thought it would be fun
i had the very oposite of fun
touched it once, never again
Uncle Dane was exaggerating when he said you wouldn’t run out of the pistol’s 200 reserve ammo (12 in clip, 212 total) but with this you’re going to run out of time in the fucking round before you get close to running out.
i like zombie games but too many of them are basically just cod zombies
I want a zombie game where you have to survive until you find an escape like left for dead (incursion is a good example) or a sci fi style game where you have to research and fight off a zombie virus whilst getting better weapons and knowledge about the zombies
mutation mentioned, z-leeper agents activated
also i love how you totally captured the unhinged circlejerk nature of mutation chat

I haven’t played mutation in a year so idk what they nerfed the mines to. I stopped playing when they got nerfed the 1st or 2nd time lol
5:30 This is just so true, i am out of words. Rip R2DA and my childhood.
I remember when Reason 2 Die shutdown, I didn't even know it was shutting down and I had just started to play it again after awhile, so after I had gotten back into it, it shutdown, unfortunate timing
As someone who loved mutation, the anti-fun update really fucked everything up. I’m sure that, if that update would’ve never happened, the game would still have a normal amount of players
r2dians aren't ready to accept that r2d 2014 was a better game than awakening

You SHOULD play Re:infected. Never has it made playing zombies so fun.
It's based off the Counter Strike zombie maps/escape modes and they pull a fun twist of giving you special mutant zombies that can absolutely wreck servers. As someone who often played those gamemodes, I found myself preferring to be a zombie main due to how fun and chaotic it is once you get a special zombie that allows you to formulate a plan to infect.
This game is not easy for the human teams. They often lose. It is unforgiving and absolutely brutal.
mind blowing innovation here: ability to buy weapons before your that specific level for an x% higher price increase
Zombie attack was always my favourite game, it was so fun trying to survive with friends and strangers. Now it's all about grinding.
12:12 oh nahhh, that ain’t ready 2 die that’s ready 4 dictatorship
Hey, I’m a debugger for R2D
It wasnt mentioned in the video, but the game is currently going under a lot of changes. the entire game is being recoded, primarily by our new programmer ur_lucky. So the bugs and inconsistencies we see ingame are on their way out
But in regards to game balance, the debug team can’t stop talking about it amongst themselves. I myself especially
And I agree with the current problems you mentioned, it seems after all this time we can’t deviate from the cycle of gameplay that’s existed since 2019. What I notice is that we keep repeating mistakes and I think it’s due to the fact that the people who were previously, and currently in charge of game balance are just not analytical enough
I myself want to keep asking questions as to what’s wrong, I try to go in depth and here’s what I think:
The survivor team, HR’s in particular, are too powerful with weaponry
The zombie team struggles not only because of the power of survivors, but also because of the faultiness in the game’s maps. Level design is very underrated in consideration to the game’s balance. What I think happened is that the people in charge of balance see the zombies struggling to due to level design, thought that it’s because zombies aren’t powerful enough, and buffed their damage significantly all without wanting to change the survivor’s weapons. Except for the swarmer, all zombies types have been buffed in R2D in comparison to the base stats of their R2DA counterparts
I may not be as credible as GenZombs, but if you still like the idea of an interview I’m willing to speak about the matter. I’m in the R2D discord as “Renowned”
"dont know what era were in but its not peak" you can describe the enitreity of roblox and gaming in gneral with this staements
As some one with over 300 hours in mutation I can say from experience. Humans can still be op, you just need a good load out. And the game can still be fun if you try to play a more interesting play style.
Where are the resident evil clones

It's very refreshing to see someone actually call the COD zombies clones COD zombies clones, and L4D clones as L4D clones. People seem to be so reluctant to call out Roblox games for being lazy clones of other games.
I love zombie games I just wish every single one of them wasn't wave/round based. if we had more open wold survival ones take inspiration from dayz or rust it would be more refreshing
Michaels Zombies is pretty good, love that Nacht Dur Untoten copy map.
i'm suprised The Final Stand 2 wasn't on your list
maybe it's due it low players and old from what I checked and I quitted not because I have not so great perks and potato pc I would always lag out when something the boomer went to front of me etc. etc. and lag issue and I keep forgetting what to do
I been wondering is there low grapc settings seriously on The Final Stand 2? btw I been wanting play it again tbh

I genuinely don’t like shoot em up town, I’d tether play cabin fever I find it so much more enjoyable
(Sorry i was really tired when i wrote this ignore grammar pls )
I’m gonna talk about the issues you listed in the video, my perspective and some of the things I agree and disagree with coming from a new-gen who has played more of R2D than R2DA before it’s shutdown.

Me: *favorites game*
Me: *goes back to play it and tries to grind levels, gets bored, plays another actually fun game like Centaura*

Tbh I always loved being a zombie back in old 2016 r2d when they added deadvolpment. I feel like the reason I enjoyed the game was because I got my joy from maxxing out my zombies and ruining the tryhard's grinds.
You should cover rise of the dead, cuz why not
BREEDIAN when will you make a video on "the apocalypse"!!!!!! im waiting!!
It’s on the ideas list okkkk
IMO undead coming is still flawed as hell
Along side with annoying reload speed long enough for me to die and reincarnate to which I finally insert the mag for my mp5
The grind is grindier than ready to die you can do the quests sure, but the challenges like “25 survivor wins for 6k grey bricks” just makes me think more they turned the game into a grinder just so it can maintain a concurrent player base that just want better gear, but is hindered by the max level zombie mains that don’t like feeling inconvenience of being a survivor (yes I’ve met these people before just think of people who use cheesy tactics in fighting games or look up meta and there you go)
And the fact that the charger is absurdly broken and honestly forces me to hold onto the boomstick just so I can shut them down before they do anything
And actively break the charger even more with a shaking screen effect that stuns you for a whole decade long enough to take away all of your health in seconds is extremely annoying
The charge doesn’t even have a wind up or anything you just activate the ability and you win it’s terrible
The number of times I’ve gotten last standing only to be stopped by a zombie main using maxed out charger and due immediately is extremely annoying
Sure zombies may be “fun” to play as but it’s not fun to fight against a max speed span jumping crawler
Sure I see the attempt to make zombies fun to play but they’ve over fed the zombie side and left the human side with the leftovers and the bits that aren’t even that good
Aint reading allat
Happy for you tho
Or sad idk

RE: Infected my beloved
Tips to fix the zombie team problem:
Step 1: Make the players only be the special zombies so, you can't play as regular zombies.
Step 6: If no one wants to pick zombie team just spam the hell out of ai zombies that often come in hordes.
guns just being skins is the worst idea I've ever heard
First idea is good
Second idea is very bad, straight up. I'm assuming you meant to make weapons a bit less unequal.
Idea 3 gives me mixed feelings, but after thinking for a while, I don't think we play much on closed maps, just more gameplay on open maps, but then we'd need more closed maps
Idea 5 is what I wanted a long time ago, free zombie picks
Last idea would need some optimization to not lag the servers or players
I need me some scaling intelligent AI zombie swarms that try to break into a base that you built
Fun fact mutation was a game to distract project submus accudo fans because the owner Geph got bored of updating it
I really want to go play mutation again but I don't have PC now
i personally think the only good roblox zombie game out right now (that i've played) was Re:Infected, it felt like it had a pretty good idea of balance between the zombies and the humans, never felt too one sided most the time
Me playing anything that isn't Area 51 campaign (The health bar is irrelevant as you all get 1 shotted anyways)
never let gephiltacool cook. not since the nightmare known as project submus accudo.
