When I saw KoRn in 2021 he was suffering from "Covid" and performed most of their set in his King's throne chair. It was sort of cool though, because it was a unique situation, not everyone can say they saw KoRn when J.D was using his King's throne chair that he uses for his solo gigs.
@@miaoFoodNow Munky seems to be a bit more confident on stage rather than Brian. I actually don't think Brian likes singing live, even with Love & Death he said he didn't like being the singer because it was too much pressure or something like that.
Absolutely. I just saw them in 2022 and Helmet opened up for them, they were amazing and they even performed a heavier version of Alone I Break to celebrate Untouchables 20th anniversary! When will these music heads understand that they can’t have Korn “open” for another band. Sad to say SOAD was a bit of a downer for this show and I saw quite a lot of people leave after the first couple songs. But looking back, every show that was silly enough to have acts after Korn like Disturbed and even Metallica (I miss the good Metallica days, most shows I’ve gone to the crowds were too weak for even mosh pits to form). Korn is the longest and best consistent live performing band. Even when Korn was on “hiatus” they all were touring side projects. And for JD he pulled a Maynard touring 2 bands at once with his Jdevil project and the SFA/Black Labrynth band. The only guys comparable would be Metallica and Rolling Stones but both don’t tour anywhere as much in comparison, and respectfully their music always stayed locked in those generations where Korn has been up and down the board whether people like it or not. Can’t wait for the Kovers and Kountry albums.
Sometimes it's best to have KoRn play before the headliners though because they are an amazing hype band and few singers can get a crowd hyped like J.D, the guy even used to DJ parties back in the late 80s/early 90s if I'm not mistaken. System Of A Down can't touch KoRn when it comes to a live show, Serj has lost his energy and passion for performing it seems. It's like Serj doesn't even want to be on stage performing if you read his body language. Those first 2 SOAD albums are really good though.
Fieldy's on a bit of a hiatus from the band/touring to focus on his own health, and Ray recently caught covid, so Aric Improta from Night Verses and Fever 333 was temporarily filling in.
You can tell it's his son judging by his body language and confidence when he runs out on stage at the end and tosses out guitar picks to the fans. Future musician, maybe?
That is Ra Diaz from Suicidal Tendencies. Fieldy is taking a break to try to get his drinking habit under control. I think he got back into drinking really hard again, and no one likes a drunk Fieldy...
Yo that drummer is not playing the songs exactly the way they were written on drums with the drum fills where they're supposed to be in some parts of the songs on that medley.
@@cr-cn4ky Ray is technically better, but this drummer sounds better at recreating that old KoЯn style because he is not overplaying the drum parts. Ray is more of a rock/progressive drummer at heart.
