    It's so heartbreaking to see people so terrible online and think they can just say whatever they want behind a keyboard. You are such a BEAUTIFUL and STRONG woman and that person was projecting their own issues. I'm so glad you responded and made them look like an idiot👏👏👏❤❤❤

      It's so important that you share your story🙌 I am really skeptical and bit weirded out by the number of influencers and celebrities professing about the benefits of ozempic without any medical background. I'm glad it works for those that *NEED* it, but I think you are adding something so important to the conversation!!

      Such an important point about the weaponization of trending body-types. The trends mean privileging of one type vs the denial of another is such a terrifying part of social beauty standards. So appreciate you referencing my video and it breaks my heart that ozempic is bringing us back to the dark ages. It truly breaks my heart hearing your story💔

      Of course your jewelry, your art is still the pinnacle of beauty🙏 OMG that child what an angel and so true🌟 I agree with your final point, the ultra trendy rise of ozempic means that size inclusivity will combat it and so important you are speaking up❤❤❤

      Couldn’t agree more… when something begins to “trend” (sadly all too often it’s our own bodies 🤪🫠🙈😅🥵) it only points to the fact that eventually the pendulum will swing the other way

      I’m so sorry you also deal with anxiety 🥺 I did before ozempic but I had no idea how bad it could be so I now will recommend anyone with pre-existing anxiety to absolutely stay away from these drugs (especially the ones that effect our guts so heavily because our brain and gut are literally one in the same 🤯)

    I feel the same about the topic of women and aging…I am currently 60 and aging as gracefully as my genes and lifestyle will allow but I am blessed and yes GETTING OLDER! I refuse to fall into the $$$ trap of cosmetically altering myself so that I look younger because I AM NOT YOUNG and it’s OK! The internet and advertisers paint an unrealistically negative picture of aging…like we should be ashamed and apologize…I REFUSE😎😎😎

      Your words, as always, mean the world to me, truly 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
      I’m so grateful for you adding these points to the conversation as well!!!! I was raised by my mother and my aunt, and so seeing them both age was literally a joy and a pleasure during my youth!!! What most people forget is that aging is not only such a beautiful thing, but also means you are still here and thriving and enjoying this incredible life, and sadly, not everyone gets to experience that 🙏🏼
      My aunt was the love of my life and I only got to see her reach the age of 61, so the conversation around age being a “bad” thing or being something women (of course it’s always disproportionately women 😅🤪🙈🙄) should try to avoid is literally so backwards to me. What a true blessing to age!!!!!
      I’m so grateful for your words and encouragement and hope to give that right back to you as well!!!

    No one should ever be mean to anyone period. It is okay to discuss health and how obesity does cause a whole host of poor health issues if it is in the right venue of course. We do happen to have an epidemic of obesity in the U.S. in comparison to even 30 years ago. It’s partly due to all the crap big food has been pumping into the foods that line our grocery store shelves which sabotages the American people’s health and weight.

    • @EveD123
      @EveD123 Месяц назад +2

      @@glenf6639 you do not need to discuss another persons health. You're not her doctor and should stop. Everyone's going to die at the end of the day. Stop pretending to care about obesity when you're just attacking her for the sake of attacking her. Worry about your own health and leave others be tf

    • @lelasophia
      @lelasophia  Месяц назад +1

      EXACTLY!!!!!!! You’re literally spot on!!!!!
      My sole reason for being the weight that I am today is because of how I was fed as a child and the little research that went into the boom in processed foods/desserts in the 90’s especially 🥵
      I completely reversed and prevented any health issues that could have come from my childhood diet, but that also means I’ve been going to nutritionists and been on probably every diet you can think of since I was 15 which should not be normal 😅
      It took me almost 30 years to realize my excess weight is mostly loose skin that I can’t diet or exercise away, so that’s the one aspect I wish people understood more when commenting on obesity. People don’t understand how someone can be healthy but look fat… I wish there was some magic pill I could take to reverse that, but I’m grateful it’s forced me to accept every inch of myself and love it all 🥹
      God willing one day I’ll move my future children/family to Europe because anytime I spend time abroad I lose weight immediately, while eating MORE 🤯

    • @glenf6639
      @glenf6639 Месяц назад

      @@lelasophia Omg Sis i so agree with you! When i think about my grandparents generation, they ate foods cooked in lard, plenty of carbs etc. yet they didn’t have the obesity issues we see today. It is drastic the differences in our health over just 3-4 decades. Food wise we are loaded up with toxic crap for NO Damn reason. 😡 so many of our foods wldnt be able to go on the shelves in Europe! Then to make matters worse, if you strive to seek out better foods, it is so freaking expensive. I grew up very poor and there would be no way we could have afforded the now elite options of organic. This is such a travesty. Follow the money to who Big Ag has in their pockets.
      The second unfortunate side is our increasingly less active & more plugged in lifestyles which only makes a bad situation worse. You are a role model for others in both reversing ill health and in personal acceptance and love. That epitomizes a wonderful balance to your own physical and mental health. I’m on the journey with ya! ❤️

    • @glenf6639
      @glenf6639 Месяц назад

      @@EveD123 i was speaking on the general topic of health and how we as citizens shld start speaking LOUDLY about not wanting to be loaded up with toxins by these food companies when there is no reason for them to do so. Isn’t it scary that big tobacco ended up buying some big food companies and used some of their chemists that successfully added in addictive chemicals to Tabacco to work on making their food products?? Most of the food in the interior isles of our grocery stores here would never be allowed to be sold in Europe. Why??? Because they contain chemicals and toxins that are NOT good for us. Yes…. We shld all be talking about it.

    • @lelasophia
      @lelasophia  Месяц назад

      @glenf6639 EXACTLY!!!!!! Can’t thank you enough for not thinking I’m insane and agreeing with how absolutely toxic our food (and sadly a lot of our products in general) are here in America 😱
      I guess if enough of us speak up about it we could insight some change, but lately the only change I’ve seen is more products to reverse the damage… so that’s quite backwards. Doesn’t seem like the change will happen until more people actually stop buying the crap they sell in the markets cold turkey 🙈🙈🙈🙈

  • @jacquelinemoss1911

    Live and let live I say. No one has the right to tell you how you should look, we’re all human beings after all and only have one life so you do you.
    The whole beauty standard is actually something I think about a lot and really, really can’t wrap my head around it, I just don’t understand it at all.
    It’s something that I’ve actually thought about more over recent years as I’ve watched my granddaughter who is now 8, she would say things like “that girl is pretty” or “I want to be like her” from the age of 3 🤯so where does that come from 🤷🏼‍♀️ is beauty aesthetics something that we’re born with or is it something that we learn along the way or both?
    We have always compared ourselves to others and most of the time unrealistically like now it’s social media with filters etc and before it was magazines where middle aged women reading them are comparing themselves to the 16 year olds modeling in them that have also been airbrushed to a point they don’t even look like themselves.
    I’m just so confused by it all 😂
    And what you mentioned about women’s bodies trending, it’s unbelievable right??? Fashion is a trend, cars, colours, home decor but body shapes like seriously! So confused 🫣
    And now I’ve just ranted a whole lot of dribble because I’m still half asleep and I don’t understand any of it anyway 😂 sorry 😁

    • @lelasophia
      @lelasophia  Месяц назад +1

      Omg EXACTLY!!!!!!!! Ugh that makes me both so scared but also genuinely excited to god willing become a parent one day. Truly trying to block beauty standards from age 3 sounds daunting yet ground breaking, because exactly… where is this information coming from?!?!?!
      I have to say I have a wonderful mom who rammed into our brains as children to love people from within; so much so that it’s made me a bit jaded and confused, just the same as you; like I actually genuinely cannot comprehend why someone would be considered more beautiful than someone else like what?!?! We are MIRACLES 🤯
      There’s an old saying I believe that goes something like “you are the result of hundreds of thousands of love stories” and I’m like yeah… our faces/bodies are truly the product of so much love. Clearly that’s what needs to be expressed more because whatever we’re living through now is the total opposite 🫠
