I had a, let’s say debate, with him a little while back and yeah, he certainly carried on very unlike how I expected. So I switched off, life’s too short to waste energy. I’m much more into channels that promote looking after tracks, respecting the bush we’re all so lucky to travel through, that do legitimate reviews on camp related products that aren’t just thrown at them by sponsors and just relaxing by a camp fire somewhere that is easy to get go as opposed to purposely picking the hardest, deepest, sloppiest big hole just to fling chucks of stuff sky high 🤣👍 There’s plenty of those channels out there. I liked watching the dirty30 when it was the old 12ht leaf sprung dirty30. Difficult to drive and it was driven hard. That thing had so much character and kind of became the show's hero car. The 30's amazing now, but it's just feels like watching 'ultimate rigs 24/7'
By omission, highlights the importance in this type of bush bashing, of making sure all vehicles, driven or towed, use the same rims and the same size tyres so you dont run out of rubber. Its also useful to put shade cloth mesh across the front of the bullbar. It keeps grass seeds, sharp twigs etc out of the radiator and coolers. Mounting radio aerials in the middle centre of the bullbar means they don't get damaged as easily by overhanging trees and vegetation. Its always a good idea to unload the spare tyre before the vehicle is jacked up and resting high in the air on a potentially unstable kangaroo jack. The lack of saltwater croc-awareness/safety is terrifying in river systems that are home to some massive crocs. But all that said, its good to be back in the wild country where we worked with HJ47's in the 80's on survey lines, cattle and the like.
