- Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are speaking out. The sisters gave a rare interview to i-D about their fashion label, The Row. Ashley got candid about starting the fashion brand back in 2006, saying that they kept things lowkey because they wanted the pieces to speak for themselves. Mary-Kate chimed in adding that they are “discreet people” and saying that’s just how they were raised.

I’m honestly not upset that they’ve been so discreet over the years. They literally gave us their entire childhood and teen years. They deserve their peace away from the spotlight.

They have every right to be discreet. They gave us their WHOLE childhood since they were 6 months old in 1986 - 1996. And they made millions of dollars after full house ended with their music videos and franchise.
They had shows, movies, books, clothing lines, makeup, perfumes, dolls, etc. yeah they were massive and never have to work ever again.
Except there wouldn't have been any movie or clothing franchise without Full House. So, if you took Full House out of the equation The Olsen's wouldn't have what they have now. Also, the ENTIRE cast gave us many years of their lives. That didn't stop the others from coming back. Lori, John, and Candace are rich on their own. They didn't need the income but they came back regardless 🤷

Truth. The way these ladies were graphically se xually harassed on public airwaves by dirty old men, even when minors (even by bob when they were babies) breaks my heart. I can not imagine exploiting my children so the family can live a certain kind of lifestyle.

I’m happy they decided to move on to a discreet life they had lots of people chasing them around all over the place it robbed them of being discreet I’m glad they finally have it now even though I miss them on TV.

I'm not surprised this is all they said lol. I used to watch their interviews all the time growing up and they were always awkward and never said much. They would say the exact same things every single interview, and they were always asked the exact same questions.. almost word for word. You can tell it's the only things they were allowed to be asked and allowed to say. I think some of their interviews are on RUclips, if you haven't watched them, check them out they are super weird haha!

Ashley has been resilient over the years while Mary-Kate looks very different now. Since I'm Ashley fan since So Little Time, my judgement was right. Mary-Kate is bit rough compared to her sister, so I didn't like her so much. Twins have completely different personalities and they don't look "alike" now. Mary-kate sometimes looks like a scrawny ghost.
