I will be praying for you! My grandparents were catholic and raised my dad in the Catholic Church. My grandparents and my dad spent a lot of time drinking and doing other things that were not what a believer should be doing. My dad got saved and preached true Christianity to his family and they all got saved! Praying that you develop a personal relationship with the almighty.

I’ll tell you what I’d do
I’d start to get religious
In hopes of getting through
But sometimes genie Jesus
Wouldn’t give me what I wished
I came to the conclusion
He probably didn’t exist
To be, though, fair and honest

I’d sometimes read the Bible

I never actually practiced
The things that Jesus said
Of course, I asked Him plenty
To fix the things I broke
I’d otherwise avoid Him
Just like a lot of folk
When things went well, I’d swagger
The credit all was mine
But when I had a problem
I’d blame God every time
But how could I blame Jesus
For struggle or for strife
When I had never asked Him
To please control my life
I had no right to blame Him
I gave Him no control
To do just what I wanted
Was pretty much my goal
Ignoring the Creator
Seemed dreadfully unfair
If when I had a problem
I quickly said a prayer
I had no right to look for
Anticipate, that is
That He should do my bidding
When I’d rejected His ~

College Professers teach atheistism , young kids go in to college believing in God and come out atheist it happened in my family with my two older brothers i still believe in god and pray to him every day and thank him and i did not go to college and am 64 years old.

Also need to define nothing? We don't have any examples of nothing in this universe? Even the vacuum of space has interacting particles in it.

@JIMMY JUKEBOX420 His book is about nothing in a different context. Not in a literal context. It's not the nothing that people refer to when they say something can't come from nothing. The point being there is no such thing as nothing in the literal sense in this universe as far as we can tell.
@Janice Griffin the bible is just stories written by people thousands of years ago. The bible is subject to the knowledge and morales of the people of that time, such as condoning slavery whereas it's considered evil today.
If the bible was truely the word of god it wouldn't become morally redundant, along with an inability to communicate in detail aspects of the universe that were unknown to humanity at the time of being written. It's much more likely and probable that it is not the word of god at all and is just stories written only by man.
To beleieve a book that provides no evidence or real life examples to draw to to prove it's statements is illogical. You wouldn't do that to any other point in your life would you? You generally need facts to accept something as true, but for some reason that critical thinking is not applied to a book, translated multiple times through different languages and rewritten into new versions, which it's stories are fully open to interpretation... much like characters and plots in stories and movies.

@Free Thinker I don't judge him that way. He isn't vain, He stays in the woods like I do away from most people. If that is how you are raised and you move out in the city for a while you may want to climb back under a rock in the woods after seeing the world a little. It's safer, do what you want kind of life. I'm not bigoted. I used to be a little bit but raising children and accepting their friends was an eye opener.

The Lord calls us home when he wants to. I was raised in the faith but strayed. The Lord always watched out for me but called me home in my 50s. Glory be to God!

My 48 year old nephew passed away in May. He always called himself an atheist and never wanted to hear about Jesus. He blamed all of the trouble in his life on God. He died of alcoholism and finally a heart attack. I was very close to him and it makes me so sad he never accepted Christ. 🙏

I believe in the Lord Because up Until 6 months ago I was a hopeless heroin addict. I was over 20 years deep in chronic addiction. I would use nearly two grams a day. I had tried everything, Rehab, methadone/suboxone programs, moving interstate, everything. I started praying and trying to get closer to god and then i woke up one day and it was GONE! The hunger that had become a constant presence in the background was gone. And I mean overnight, literally. I KNOW it was the Lord because I had tried it a million times and it never worked. Other things have happened since then and I have been changed on a fundamental level. All I can do is tell people that Jesus is coming and that they need to know him. I feel like if I covered my mouth my ears would sprout lips and start telling people that Jesus is coming and they need to know him. I thank the Lord every day multiple times. I truly dont deserve this but he has healed me. Praise be the Lord. His mercy endures forever and ever.

Nature and all the universe is the handiwork of God. And God exists within it and outside of it and across all time. From beginning to end all at once.
I can look at a leaf or grasp a handful of soil and see the architect through elements, molecules and atoms.
Physics, mathematics and atomic theory give us just a tiny glimpse into the tools of God.
To not see God as reality is to be truly blind.

One of the best things revealed to me about God was how many times does it mention God being in a cloud or coming in a cloud? The cloud is one of the best metaphors to describe who and what God is. All thru Scriptures God is either hiding or revealing Himself. When a cloud comes into the sky what does it do? It reveals itself, while at the same time hiding. Revealing and hiding.

I too looked at the universe with new eyes after I became a Christian, how all the seasons, the wildlife and nature all work together in perfect harmony, was not created by chance, it was called out by God and drawn into life by his word.
Well said and God bless brother! You made me think about the fact that it seems the further away man gets from nature, the further away man gets from God. I think it’s because the awe that is God is contained everywhere within his creation. From the Lion down to the flea. Everything is perfect with a purpose. Now that man has created a barrier between himself and nature, the knowledge of nature is lost which sadly dissipates the awe the is the Lord. Man truly is a fallen creature.

was wondering what you thought. i grew up in the forest. food for thought, glad you explained your pov. would be a cool convo one day. i am in nyc, compared to my past in the woods feel like i am the alien, metaphorically. openly discuss w people, zero judgment, always curious to other people. today for example, after 35 yrs my friend said about his blueberry yogurt breakfast and its as if it was 5 min ago we sat outside and checked for deer pee otherwise ate up the woods while we lived out there. i tell everyone i know this, still never concurred, was chilling out there on a log alone for awhile, and realized i was an infinitesimal small thing, cog in the machine, but i wasnt a cog, i was about to change my entire personality. profound thoughts. i do like school & reading, math & art, social impacts, ive done a ton after this chapter. all interesting food for thought. i studied space, math, art and i am blessed somehow w the ability to understand, and still wonder about the big bang and how it could work, is it even what we think, bc boxing in to what we find and uncover sometimes misleads us and takes away the natural instinct what if in loads of directions. always a conversation i wanna have with someone, its fun, interesting, friendly. like tonight its the middle of the night in nyc, close to a full moon, random people, noone sees the moon, or the 3 stars we get from light. and noone to talk to. yall popped up on my youtube and thinking thoughts after the blueberry contradiction.

This was always my great question. Where did everything come from? If it sprang from nothingness, who made the nothingness? This is where I always hit a brick wall with the Big Bang Theory and have come to believe there is a higher power beyond what our minds can scientifically prove at this time.
Hey Phil, nothing wrong with being in the forest. I think it's the best place to be. Society is full of sick and undeserving people. Pedophilia is rampant, and I don't think there's enough prayers in the world to save everyone involved. My molester finally died. I went to church, was raised in church. But when I asked for help, I got nothing. So I used my wits instead. Luckily I didn't get involved in drugs or prostitution, but I made mistakes. I'm a good person who just helps people now. But I do like listening to you Phil. I enjoyed your show. Thanks
Atheists will tell you that if you change you were never a true atheist. It's a pride thing, they also love to tout their intelligence, more pride.
