This theme was from a tiny portion in the game and chances are you didn't even spend much time there. But this is among the best combat themes from the game.
I linger *excessively* in every game I play, just absorbing whatever atmosphere or exploration (or mischief) opportunities that there are. For instance, did you know that you can destroy radioactive barrels? They are immune to pretty much every physical or energy attack, but if you push a burning object into them they will ignite! Once they've burned you can break them down with anything you like, cleansing the area of their radiation hazard!
I seem to recall every zone had each type of music, i.e. normal, combat, conversation, death. Some zones don't even have conversations yet still have music tracks for it.
@@Rhacman They originally had a much wider scope for the entirety of the game. Numerous plotpoints were scrapped, two almost finished levels cut and many characters changed around. Who knows what conversations we would have had eventually and what options. I mean, come to think of it, the dialogue option picker was woefully underused and often had little consequences in early and mid game.
@@Mayhzon I think the underused dialogue options were actually a good thing - this is an RPG where you speak through your actions more than through actual words, which I like about it.
Tracer Tong: "JC, it seems MJ-12 has made a new base in the headquarters of CNBC. Apparently a journalist there has gotten word of the conspiracy behind the Gray Death and Ambrosia, and they're possibly being interrogated as we speak. Go in there, and try to save them, but be careful, as the place is heavily guarded." "Also, try and see if CNBC themselves are hiding anything. There's word a higher-up's office has been conversing with Bob Page. If this is true, his computer probably has emails you can look at to view any possible exchanges." Primary objective: Save the journalist from MJ-12 Secondary objective: Sneak into an office in the building that potentially has email exchanges with Bob Page
Remember hearing this and going "Wow, sounds awesome!" and then noticing it stopped playing like two minutes later when i left that very small area. Shame it's so underused, I really like this one.
some are wondering why such a great track is used in a short mission- well the original mission was about howard strong and his pirate crew who later kill dr savage ...after the end of the pirate ship mission you will find savage killed by howard in the tunnels instead of that dead dr who gives you the nano key

Agreed. It sounds almost like something from a turn-based RPG combat or something.
There was a custom Multi-player map with that track, I loved it !

Strange how there's a separate theme that would only play for just a few spider bots...

They originally had 'pirates' in the tunnels
@MrMicrophone Chateau Duclare gets reused for the illuminati hideout.

I never heard this part in the game and man, gives me throwback Unreal Gold vibes.
I suppose it's only appropriate since the game is on the unreal engine
Jazz Jackrabbit 2
This sounds like a battle version of a news channel theme
...that most definitely works!

Can’t believe I looked past this combat theme, it is definitely one of the best in the game.

How do you know that? Since it was never released .... where does it say they were planning such things...such exquisite things...
@@isteliosiv9927 it's in the Deus ex Bible
@Kingshuk Kirtania yeah it's true

@@isteliosiv9927 no jokes a document called "deus ex bible " has many interesting details.
Sounds so much like Unreal!
Same composer.
Blame the composer for this jam
Especially 0:30
I would like if they had used this in the gas station rescue.
Thankful for the Deus Ex Randomizer for giving me this area's themes for a particularly long Waltonware play. Never heard it before, this rules.
One of my favourites.
If you hear this whole theme in the game, you're doing something wrong. Probably in inventory :p
Running away from bots with no ammo :P
Trying to destroy every single one of them with the Dragon's Tooth without resorting to guns XD
0:30 Oh yea!
such a shame is only used when you get to fight Spider bots
"what a shame"
Thankfully if you don't get too close they just stand and look at you while you jam!
Reminds me of ending from Dusk Horizon in Unreal (also composed by Brandon)
It also sounds similar to Isotoxin theme.
Greys were so Scary
Maybe Honk Kong, Universal Constructor Hub?
hmm, let's see: everett being blown up by a bomb, the LP compound being the literal graveyard, and... what's that other one?
I'm stuck on this track
High praise from Joe Musashi.
*STREET FIGHTER ALPHA THREEEE*
It all depends on your skill!
Go for broke!
where this plays? i cant remenber that music
In the underground tunnels of vandenberg if you get into combat
Jake Osborn the tunnels of vanderberg? I...I...I though they were GEP Guns. (thanks for the info xD)
Shiki Nanaya your welcome
Guess vanderberg actually matteres
oh boy it does

Almost forgot about that game. Caked in bangers
