But we don't know the value of current before measuring, then how are we supposed to set the value of the shunt resistor...?i mean that if we have no idea about the amount of current then how will we set the shunt resistor value?
We have to put range for current( to what extent current would be measured) to know the shunt resistance, not the value of current to be measured. It's like the maximum value of current that an ammeter can measure.
