Somehow, as long as you are not overwhelmed, long reload with decent alpha can help to not die that fast, as you need around 12 seconds between shots, and both player act more cautious and enemies may just aim somewhere else
It's a good point in the video, like DPM/burst should be a separate category. Like in the 122 TM example you mentioned, I've just started playing mine and damn the gun is so so nice to use so I'm fully behind the 5/5 gun handling, but it should be said somewhere that one of the major drawbacks is the terrible DPM. Also some tanks have bad DPM but great burst because clip potential, so maybe something like a split rating for autoloaders?

This is the Tier 9 that fits the ARL 44 and M4 on tier 7. Amazing gun handling and almost no armor. If you like tier 6 and 7 french heavies this is your tank.
I also don't think that the gun could be rated as 5. By looking at your replay, [at the best case] the gun handling looks similar to something like Char Futur: big bloom, long aim time, but accurate when fully aimed. The problem is that it's mounted on a huge tank that has decent but not great armor that you can't rely too much. In Char Futur you can aim from a long distance and constantly relocate to find a good spot to flank/snipe enemy from safety. While this tank is quite fast, it does not has the camo and size for that role. I also really like Char Futur's gun so I get why you kinda like the gun, but that handling + low DPM kinda make it rather a mismatched gun. Still going to be a decent gun (3/4) that could work, but overall I think whether the gun suits the platform of the tank or not need to be added to the calculation.
i don't know why ppl hate lorr 50t: it was close that i use points on something else(i have all of the rest). It is fast heavy,(reaching 60kph) with a weak hull and decent turret-it can bounce a lot of shots. Gun is can troll-but so far i like it a lot.
Crew training? Free large repair kit makes it cheaper to run maybe. Also, it they are planning a nerf of the M4 51 so perhaps a good reason is incoming
I think you were lucky with the gun handling, I use full bond equipment and the gun still trolls me like crazy. Right now this is one of the weakest from the tier 9 heavies without doubt. It is new tank and still it has lower winrate right now than obj 777 and that says something.
777 is not that bad actually, maybe because of low expectation (took it only because see in meme video how dude climbe through hole in the wall on Kharkov) but I have surprisingly good results on it.

Why would anyone play with this instead of AMX M4 51? Just drawbacks (can´t reach the potential higher top speed even)

And it's the least played Battle Pass tank as well. All the other BP tanks are just better, more fun, or more unique.
