the great thing about Samidha's singing is that she seems to know her limitations and stayed within it. she seems to have a calm, sober personality which reflects through singing and gives her that edge necessary for singing this song. hats off to her considering her background and extra efforts that she must have taken to maket this effort as this doesn't come naturally to her. amazing !!!

I am stunned, to say the least.It's unbelievable this girl born in Canada not only speaks marathi but sings such a difficult natya-pad with full beauty and mastery over it. We here in Mumbai find our own marathi people don't allow our children to speak marathi at home, not to speak of singing. We are ashamed of doing so or being a marathi. It is from a marathi stage play. I think Master Dinanath Mangeshkar (Lata's father) made this very popular, probably in 1940's. Asha Bhosle has recreated some of his songs in the 1950s. Check out related videos here. This rendition is excellent.
