Wow so April 16 has been the tax deadline for years! Thanks for these episodes bc I’ve been watching the same episodes over and over again for years! What a treat!!
These are NOT from the 30 min TV show. These are the original skits from the Jackie Gleason show (Cavalcade of Stars). There are no better looking versions. We are lucky to have these as they were recorded live during the early years of TV.
I’ve loved the honeymooners my whole life. But now as an adult, the screaming gets old after a few episodes. Doesn’t mean I’ll never stop watching this great show, just not in tandem.
This is one of my favorite shows of all time. But something doesn't make sense: how does Alice get to the grocery store and back in 30 seconds? How is Ralph driving a bus, then make it all the way up stairs in 30 seconds. Norton is in parade marching and also comes in shortly after Ralph.
@@peterlois1086 I know but at least make it a little believable. Like people never going to the bathroom until married with children. Al's favorite room was it.

I know what u mean I like to imagine and be a part of the show because I love this much different time than now. Wish I was born wayy back then...but realistically to answer ur question it's a show on a stage in NYC...And in NYC all the addresses from the show are real addresses like their address on the show is a real Apt building. Also when Jackie Gleason was younger his apt was a tiny little one just like this one....fun fact Jackie Gleason daughter married the priest from the movie the exorcist
I used to watch the Honeymooners as a child and as an adult when they would show it all day in New Years Day.. I still love to watch it but I realize now how Ralph used to yell and scream at Alice all the time, he Was insanely jealous and insecure and didn’t appreciate her..especially in the lost episodes
It's just a TV show. Relax. Besides, it's interesting that you don't mention her constant insults and disrespect towards him. Point being that they both gave as much as they took.

These are the “Lost Episodes” but in fact are NOT episodes of the Honeymooners TV Series. There were only 39 episodes of the TV series on CBS that came AFTER these. These are skits from the Jackie Gleason variety show (Cavalcade of Stars) on the Dumont Network, they did not air on syndication the way the classic 39 did as none of this was part of the TV show.
Yes. They now have an 85" flat screen TV. But it's a Vintage model. It has no streaming apps and it is black and white. So it only plays old classic black and white movies and TV shows.
They were lost for decades and only resurfaced about 10 years ago. For that reason they became known as The Lost Episodes to differentiate from The Classic 39 Episodes.

In the updated new millennium, 21st century version of this show, Alice WOULD be working full-time, despite Ralph’s outdated protestations, not as a mere secretary, but as the executive assistant to the president of the company. She’d be earning way more than the bus driver and she’d be calling the shots in that marriage. Ralph would be getting dinner on the table because Alice has to work late. Ralph would also be doing the housework on the weekends along with the laundry because his power-wife has to meet with clients out of town. Won’t be home until that late Sunday night flight into JFK. Have dinner waiting. Alice would also be rocking it, on the side, with her boss. She’d definitely be the boss chick in that relationship. She had so much untapped potential. Too bad she lived in the male chauvinistic 1950s when women were stifled and under appreciated. Today, she could’ve easily reached her true potential.
Gimme a break. It's a groundbreaking EARLY Television show. It's been watched by millions and enjoyed by the same. It's just a quick glimpse into life before it was taken over by the cellphone....,!
TV is not real life. Women and men had their roles and men had theirs. Men are larger and stronger than women so it was established in the beginning to hunt for food and do the tougher work while women took care of the easier work at home. After all, she carried the babies! It was fair and equal and _nothing_ like Ralph Kramden. He's only there for comedic entertainment. He's exaggerated to make people laugh and give the characters depth and make people think and laugh. You've got no idea unless you lived it. Women had most of the power in the home. Men wanted a clean house and good food and a cozy home as well as companionship and they knew they had to work to get it. The Kramden apartment was only $62 dollars a month...even in the 50s that was cheap. Not as cheap as today of course...a one bedroom apartment now is $2k a month if you can find one. But trust me...a marriage was nothing like Ralph makes it look. Women stayed virgins and had self respect until they were married and they "courted" a long period of time. By the 14 year mark, they were best buddies. Dependent on one another. For everything. Marriages lasted literally until death do we part. A marriage today is nothing more than a joke. Tax purposes. Go watch a 1957 movie called "No Down Payment"... you'll get a pretty good idea of what a 50s marriage was really about. I encourage it. People of today have a very skewed idea of different eras.
Women will reach their full potential when one of them gets elected as president. This election proved that many women still feel inferior because they voted for an old sexual molester with a criminal record for president.
Ralf takes Alice for granted and she should have left him long ago and yes I know it’s just and old film but just saying , he’s not exactly the greatest husband.
$90 then is about $1000. Today. Even $1000 is not enough for a two bedroom in my city Boston Ma. Try $2500 - $2900 for a 2 bedroom and that is the lower priced apt. Inflation is a biatch. MOVING SOON !!!
