I love how hyped they’re about their carnitas and being from Quiroga, Michoacán, Mexico. Makes me hyped just seeing that kind of pride and I ain't even Mexican lol
My husband is from Morelia Michocan. He talks of the beauty of his entire state. He loves it so much and is very proud of where he comes from. My wish is to visit his beautiful state someday.
I've followed your channel for a while now and have made some of your very delicious recipes so it makes me very happy to see that you're opening your channel up to these types of travel vlogs where you get to visit different parts of Mexico.
What a beautiful city and even more beautiful people. Absolutely love the personalities and the passion they have for making and selling their food. Just a fantastic video - one of your best!
Hola Rossana and Nelson, I extend my gratitude for sharing such an exceptional video. Your evident pride in hailing from Michoacan Rossana shines through. I must admit, my appetite is thoroughly whetted as I gaze upon those tantalizing Carnitas.
You and your husband are great storytellers! My husband and I were absolutely stuck to this playlist. I’ve been following your channel for quite some time and made your recipes; but sister this is also your calling. Enjoyed your family as well! Now we’re looking to visit.
Very cool you guys! I love those cooking/travel shows on PBS and BBC, i watch them more than HBO. As such, I really am delighted to see you doing these "on location" episodes.🤓 Thanks again
I'm a little envious. Been to several cities in Mexico with my second generation Mexican wife, but never to a market like that. Mexico City, Guadalajara, Acapulco, Vera Cruz. Thanks.
Wow this is amazing I’ve recently found a love with carnitas and have been making them home . To me the flavor I’m looking for is the orange and sweet flavor from the Coca Cola , the Lard becomes a golden liquid that should not be thrown out because of all the flavor . I know mine are amazing but i never had any to compare too . I wouldn’t be shy to share mine , who knows maybe I’m famous also lol
So glad you enjoyed the video. We stayed with friends who live there but you can find hotels in Morelia for good prices. Im not sure if it was a festival but to be honest, Mexico is full of celebrations. And, the carnita stands are always there. The name of the town is Quiroga Michoacan.
@@VillaCocina 😝 ha ha I can tell he’s smelling all the delicious aromas I remember when you walked by the taco 🌮 stand all you smell is the fried onions on the grill and the meats make your mouth water and your stomach growling of hunger ha haha 😛..I’m glad you guys had a great time visiting your home town and I liked how you described your town full of friendly people despite all the criminals that ruined our towns and cities with all the drugs and cartel wars I hope one day it will be as peaceful as it was in the 1980’s when the ladies use to sell enchiladas plates on the streets right after 10:00pm at night and people walking visiting friends or family and men dating girlfriends in the Central Park of town eating “elotes with sour cream with chile and cheese “ dressing in your best clothing to impress everyone 👀😜I imagine señor Nelson riding his Honda CBR1000 “el mirrey “ of town in the hunt of his one true love (which it’s you 👀) when he saw you for the first time it was love at first sight 😍🥰he felt invincible and some 80’s music 🎶 started playing in the background 😳😜🤣😂
@@VillaCocina I know lol😝😛I have a friend who’s about the same height and weight but he can scare any chinese buffet 👀😜if you know what I mean 😅You guys keep smiling and sharing your delicious recipes and thanks for sharing your home town and the food was a blast and I know they have a secret recipe for that besides the love and the copper pots …Saludos!!!👋😃👋 Y’all have a blessed Sunday here in Texas is so cold 🥶 tonight and tomorrow still cold but up to the 40’s 😩😩I hope you guys in Atlanta have better weather than us 👋😃👋
Que delicia 😋 ❤ esos cueritos cuando están ultra mega suaves que no hace falta masticar es lo más delicioso esas grasitas yummy combinan con todo en tacos 🌮 👌 con arroz 🍛😍 con tamal 🫔 en hoja de plátano 👌una joya ❤ mmm menudo it’s not for me because it’s too spicy 🌶️ 🥵 I can’t handle pero la panzita el mondongo si me encanta en guisados pero sin picante 😅
At least the guy with his hands all up in your carnitas is not the same person as the one who takes your money. Now if you really want something to worry about, consider that big pile of meat at ambient temperature for many hours. Of course even that does not keep me away. Muy rico!@@VillaCocina
How deep is this in Mexico? Isn't Mexico supposed to be really bad right now with all the cartel corruption going on down there? My family are all terrified of going anywhere near Mexico lately. Sucks. I love carnitas
I'd go back in a heartbeat. Just stay clear of shady spots and you'll be fine. Cartels don't mess with Americans cuz tourist $ talks and it will reflect terribly on the cartel (and initiate a crackdown.) Once I can afford it I'm going to visit Guadalajara (not too far from where this video was made.)
Mexico has so much good to it. But doing research is important. Maybe listening to the news while also asking the locals, that way there can be a more even perspective of the reality.
I love how hyped they’re about their carnitas and being from Quiroga, Michoacán, Mexico. Makes me hyped just seeing that kind of pride and I ain't even Mexican lol
You said it right! everyone is hyped about the carnitas. The love for them is real! 😋

Michoacán is just beautiful! No wonder it is known as “The soul of Mexico” ❤️ so rich in culture as well.
I ❤️ carnitas. I learned how to make it after moving away from southern California. Everyone I know asks for tacos when I make them.
Alright! Seems like you have it figured out! Way to go!
Love the Mexican culture the people are so loud and passionate! Thanks for sharing! ❤
We are all about expressions! love it.
If you crave Carnitas and can't travel to Mexico, try Carnitas Uruapan in Chicago. Since 1975, preserving the flavorful experience
There’s always a a choice. You can also find a carnitas recipe on our website ☺️ video on our main page as well.
Carmelo, what a man. He seems so kind and it shows how much he loves what he does.
Wow that looks like heaven on earth... I definitely need to visit. Thanks for sharing.

Great vid!
This happens everyday down there ? Yum....tell Don Carmelo I'm on my way ! I'll bet the corn (masa) tortillas are outstanding too.
Yes! It’s amazing! You would think it’s some kind of festival. ☺️ but to be fair, Mexico has celebrations all the time!
@@VillaCocinaKnowing your kitchen and products you choose to use, I'm sure you were impressed with the items they used there as I was !!
Hint. Secret to making carnitas. Some ingredients involve Coca Cola, brown sugar and orange juice in a copper pot. You decide how much 😊 your welcome
😅😅😅😅😅 No sabes nada
I want to marry a Mexican
I need to go!!! I'd be there all day eating and drinking. It will be worth the weight gain 😂

WHY am I watching this so late! Now I have to eat something. And you know it won't be as good.
So sorry 😅
Next stop Oaxaca!!! 😁😁😁
That would be amazing!
Lots of families depend on the sales of the food. So even if people are generous giving samples, It shouldn't be seen as All you can eat for free.
I hate when they give it to you in the bag lol I tell them to cut the coconut and let me drink it out the coconut
😂 it’s a classic in Mexico 🇲🇽
I would love to visit but as a white American I’d be afraid of being kidnapped 😂
😄 making informed decisions is important for sure.
i like eating with my hands, but only with mine, not sure about his finger juice in my carnitas..
😂 Thats is something you will see alot. But, no one pays any attention. Having said that, your opinion is respected 🤠.
