We need some Dline work, our Dline got zero pressure without sending blitz last year. The reason we struggled so much during those vandy and Oklahoma games was because the dline could not stop the triple option.
I just love the guys who are choosing to play the final game. I love the entire team but the leadership and commitment displayed from playing the FULL season even if you don’t have to, speaks volumes. I really respect those men.

Jalen Mileroe was not the weakest link by a mile. I do recall Coach Saban gave you Ty and that was horrible but miles ahead of the Notre Dame guy. Leaky protection and play calling should have been better. We supposed to had the best online. Not even close

They opt out so they don’t blow their ankle out and drop from a top 15 draft pick to a late first round, early second round pick. NFL scouts will immediately look away from a guy because of the potential for re-injury. It’s happened before.

@@RoadTo19I wasn’t happy with Milroes decision making but he is talented and improved his accuracy a lot. How many Drops did his receivers have? I saw a lot. Even Hollywood had some really bad drops!
Safety? We have Hubbard and probably Sabb coming back as starters, plus Mincey, Kirkpatrick, Smith, one other I think, and at least one new signee. I wouldn’t turn away a good safety, but it’s not a huge need barring injuries.
Need safety, LB,😮OL,DL line and A couple of WR .. but most of all some better assistant coaches that can get discipline and consistency in their and mental mine set .
We should be fine at safety. Hubbard was great when he got a chance to play, and Sabb was good before he got injured. We have decent depth too. CB should be rock solid, and was good down the stretch after some growing pains. On the OL, I think we have plenty of guards and some good center candidates if Brailsford leaves, and Proctor will be fine at LT (and great if he loses 30 lbs). But we need a right tackle for sure, and maybe one more tackle for depth. On the DL, we need a couple of guys who are better fits for a 1-gap scheme, because some of our current DLs are square pegs in round holes, and others haven’t lived up to their billing. We’re also losing Latham, Tim Smith, and possibly Keenan and Overton, plus Osborne to the portal. The young guys have potential, but so far, only James Smith and Renaud have shown anything (and both look like really good prospects). At LB, we need at least one experienced guy to come in and anchor us in the middle, and preferably another starter or backup. We need someone else at the Wolf (Jack) position. Russaw is going to be really good, but he can’t be the only one. Finally, we need at least one WR, and maybe two if Bernard leaves. Ryan Williams is arguably the most talented WR in the country, but he needs complementary players to keep defenses from double and triple teaming him. Hale and some of the young guys could be the answer, but I’d like more options if possible.
