Rayshaun Preston Same, drove in Rotax Max and KZ2 and was gonna start driving in European championship but I’ve been too busy with life and I doubt I’ll ever be able to really get back into racing sadly.
No idea why this was in my recommendations but I enjoyed it! genuinely interesting (I watched the whole thing!). I like that you talk and explain your thought process over the footage. I have only been karting once (with family as a day out) but I really enjoyed it despite not being very good. Didn't even think of looking for youtube videos about it even though I would like to get into it a bit more (too bad the nearest place to kart is about 2 hours away - I live in Australia 😊). Anyway, consider me subscribed! Congrats on ur wins, keep it up!
I've watched quite a few driving channels, but this one is my favourite, I think it's because of your dry sense of humour, and you come across as a really nice guy. Love your carting and GT videos, subscriber and an addict!
Your dry track racing was absurdly impressive to watch, while the wet track felt like trying to find and get a feel for grip, you absolutely demolished it with that last race. Great video.
Hey Steve, great race there and driving in the rain looks tough! I wish we had a kart series like this in South Africa, I am inspired to start this because of you. Can't wait for the finals! Good Luck
Fantastic work going up the pack. Yes, it's hard to change all the tires on all the carts into wet weather tires. Besides it takes plenty of skill to handle these carts so they've got this
I live for these carting vids, super informative for someone who’s never done any irl racing but is very interested in the sport / games. Keep it up!!!!
The Postman in race 3 that can't help but send everything is 100% going airborne if you weren't in rental karts lol. This arrive and drive style of racing looks like so much fun with large fields!
When shteve is on the track the boundary between reality and the minus realm grow ever closer. observe as we catch a glimpse of the rift opening to claim it's victim 6:22
I used to do maintenance for a kart rental place. We had bumpers that covered the wheels so our karts were more difficult to put tires on, without that and with an assistant I could do all 4 wheels in under two minutes. that is 80 minutes for the fleet. For a day like that it would be worth doing the work to put rains on. The reason I wouldn't put rains on is for cost. Here it doesn't rain a whole lot. We have a few weeks out of the year where it rains almost constant but otherwise it is dry. For competition racing I would swap tires despite cost just to keep people from complaining about the lack of traction.
That's some nice Kart racing & what makes it even more impressive is your driving in horrible wet conditions. Great job anyways Steve, I always look forward to your notifications. Be safe man.
Whats up with youtube? -First he showed me some random guy remaking his flipbook -Then an also random dude scamming a scammer -After a guy trying to fix a wall with a 3d pen -And now just wanted to show me this guy beating everyone asses at gokart Not complaining tho...
@Pyro Gaming I'd say theres still a lot of skill involved with NASCAR whether it be the pit crew or the driver. That doesn't necessarily mean that go-carting, although seen as cheap racing, is any less of an Avenue for entertainment. I found this video to be quite enjoyable, while not particularly being a fan of neither NASCAR or go-carting, and I'm sure the youtuber also found it to be an entertaining event.
The key is to wait until your in tenth place so you can get a triple mushroom from a box and then use that to do the grass shortcut halfway into the lap.
Hi steve, can I ask what the best braking technique to use in karting is? In the dry, should I threshold brake as a do in a car and trail brake accordingly, or should I scrub the brakes, be fully off them before I turn and try to flex the kart around the corner? in the wet, should I be braking comparatively later to slide it into the corner, how should I apply the brakes? I'm struggling with this atm and I'd appreciate the advise of an experienced driver. Cheers!
James Davis dry and wet just brake where you do and get off the brake to let it rotate. If anything, giving the brakes a little shot on entry will help rotate it as well in the dry. In the wet, use your body weight to rotate the kart. Lean out and send it.
@@Super_GT cheers for the response mate! I'm driving the standard 390 cc supplied by the circuit. How does the driving style change if I were driving a rotax or some other kart?
Braking in the wet and the dry is pretty much the same. With karts you want to brake in a straight line and initially let the kart roll through while gradually applying the gas (this works best for the old rotax engines not the evo. As the old engines were over carberated) in the wet you gonna wanna not brake in the puddles
Anyone else click this thinking they were going to learn about some actual thing called the "Moses effect"? I'm not disappointed. I was highly entertained by the video still.
I have to say I really do enjoy watching your videos if you were to stop uploading I would probably remember you for most of my life. Keep up the good work.
