Replacing impeller on yanmar 3gm30f

The engine had overheated 3 or 4 times coming back from Block Island. The sea strainer had picked up a glob of seaweed, and then I had an impeller belt break which also lead to the over heating. My fear was that due to lack of water an impeller blade had broken off and gotten sucked into the cooling system.
