Rolina the dairy cow lives on a farm in Habsburg Switzerland and loves noting more than brushing her coat.
When owner Marina Boller installed a cow brush at Hof Habsburg farm she could not have predicted Rolina’s reaction to it. Speaking to Storyful Marina explained “She always uses it very heavily, so you can hear her even at night when she goes out for a brush”. This girl certainly has to look her best at all times.

@@scourgedarkpaw9949 they hammer each other with their heads. They push and knock really hard. Usually in dairies, they take off their horns, so they use the hard knop on their heads to hit the other cow or push her out of the way.
They can be mean.
They can handle each pretty well, but if one weak cow gets picked on by a few cows, they can really be hurt.
If a cow did this to a human, we'd go flying! Think of a 1200 lb sledge hammer.
Oh and they also kick, but not usually when fighting, they kick when startled or when their udder hurts and they dont want to be milked.
Or they just kick at flies. A kick in the head could kill a person!
Most the dairy cows are pretty sweet, at least mine are. But still, I have been kicked and knocked over.

From all of the video's I have seen, the cow brushes are a real quality of life improvement for cows. They obviously love them.

This is the standard for most dairy cows in the western world. Happy unstressed cows produce more milk and get fewer diseases which improves profitability.

I love to see livestock happy. Appreciate so much the meat and dairy product they supply us and its great to see these animals feeling good. One can just imagine what kind of relief this cow is getting. Its splendid.

Working with cattle is great, each has their own personality. Myself when days are rough the girls give a friendly nudge or lick makes me feel better. The cows do have socializing and it's great to work with them all being different in their own ways.
Since you bond with them, how do you handle your emotions when they get brought to the slaughterhouse.

@@Rosefinity it's not easy but it's part of the business. We had one special one that was a real pet. That was very hard when her time was up.
I couldn't handle that. At least me personally being a Dairy Farmer this career does have ups and downs but I enjoy working around the cows. It's fasinating how social they are with us. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
