Enjoy Part 5 of our 8500 kilometer off-road trip from Greece to the Caucasus in Georgia and back. At the End of Mai 2022 we loaded the 2 Yamaha Tenere 700 in a van and drove from Potsdam (Germany) 2200 kilometer to Alexandropoli in Greece, where we stored the van and started our epic motorcycle adventure. Our goal was to ride the entire TET Turkey and two new sections that has never done before. A 4500 kilometer stretch and a big challenge on loaded Tenere 700s.
Part 5 shows you the day 14, 15, 16 and 17 of the trip. We croosed the border from Turkey to Georgia in Cildir (Çıldır). As in Turkey the high mountain ranges in the Caucasus were still blocked by landslides and snow. We decided to travel the southeastern part of Georgia first and made our way offroad near the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. It is a very interessing area and we visited the David Gareja mounastery, the mud volcanoes, the Iori River reserve, the Vashlovani National Park and got stopped by military.

I visited Georgia (also starting from Greece) on 2019 but on my Z750. Needless to say, there where many times we had to do hard off-road, especially up in Samogrelo Svaneti after Mestia.

@@BurningFeetAdventures gerne, sehe mit gerade den Teil 2 an. Echt tolle Straße dort, bin gerade bei der Passat mit den Vielen Rindern und Pferden. Toll das ihr sehr viel von dieser tollen Kammstraße aufgenommen habt. Landschaftlich der Wahnsinn

Sehr coole alternative Route die ihr da wählen musstet zum Ende hin. Sehr schönes Land mit tollen Aufnahmen. Bei dem Matsch kommt leider der Heidenau echt an seine Grenzen, wobei er sich ja selbst gut reinigt. Wie sind da eure Erfahrungen auf der Tour gewesen?
Der Heidenauer Ranger war der optimale Reifen Für diese Tour. Bei diesem klebrigen Matsch macht jeder Reifen schlapp. Du kommst halt nicht auf genug Speed damit das Profil sich selbst reinigt.

Sehr spannende Reise. EIne kleine Anmerkung, bitte bei den nächsten Videos das Mirko richtig einstellen, so dass es nicht nur auf Mono läuft. Ist ein wenig anstrengend, wenn Du nur links zu hören bist.
Ahhh, Danke für den Tipp. Hättest du das mal 2 Tage früher geschrieben. Jetzt ist Teil 2 schon Online. Hab gleich mal recherchiert und herausgefunden, wie ich das bei Davinci Resolve beheben kann. Dann halt bei Teil 3...

How hard is the TET across Turkey? I have an Africa Twin and a 300L and I'm wondering which one to take. I'm 50 years old and an experienced off and on road rider but I will be travelling solo.
I have a 5 Videos about the TET Turkey on my channel. Just check it out to get an idea if you can deal with that on a big bike. I would go with the Africa Twin and good tires like Heidenauer K60 Ranger. Greetings, Stefan.
