Yazoo - Situation (Miky Studio cover) MS version

🔵 Situation is a single by the British band Yazoo, released in 1982 as the third extract from the album Upstairs at Eric's.
The song was originally released in the UK as the B-side to the duo's debut single, Only You, which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart. Released as a stand-alone single in North America, Situation peaked at number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and reached the top 40 on the Canadian music charts, peaking at number 31. In the late summer of 1982 it became the first Yazoo song to rank at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, remaining there steadily for 4 weeks, while it reached number 31 on the Black Singles chart.
A well-known version is the remix by François Kevorkian, released on 12" vinyl for the US market in 1982. This version was included in the US edition of Yazoo's debut album, Upstairs at Eric's, and is the version of the song which received the most airplay in the United States.
In 2006 Slant Magazine ranked Situation 64th on their "100 Greatest Dance Songs" list.
The group consisted of Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet.
Vince was part of Depeche Mode and Erasure.
