Don’t feel too bad for Matsumoto and Hinamori. I think it’s safe to assume Ayon was low Espada level. He wrecked 4 lieutenants one after another pretty much just one-shotting all of them. I can’t imagine even Rukia and Renji would’ve won against Ayon given his insane speed, power, and resilience.
Even Toushirou here would've lost to Ayon. I mean he's a hollow creature that Yama cut perfectly in half & could still charge at him/not be killed yet with that
@@Crunchysopa52 you know I would have liked to see Ikkaku, trying to make amends for his mistake, use his bankai against Ayon to protect his comrades. It would have been a hell of a training for him and also a way to have his character grow.
@@Kal911 There's no way Ikkaku could have taken Ayon on, though... Even with his (baby) Bankai. Ikkaku's Bankai shines in long prolongated fight against opponents of very similar power to his own where the meter on his bankai can grow and Ikkaku can get more powerful that way. But Ayon would have demolished Ikkaku faster than that. He's got Speed and Strenght for days. Hell, Ayon was cleanly cut in half by a Head Captain and could still fight. One moment of hesitation from Ikkaku, just one doubt of "Should I use my Bankai in front of all these people? Should I keep my ego in check and just save my comrades?" and Ayon would have already grabbed him and broke all the bones in his body. I think there was no other choice but to bring a Captain in.
It's a shame Rangiku and Momo didn't get to win against any Fraccion like most of the other Lieutenants. They're actually very capable Lieutenants - Rangiku has pretty much shown that she has one of the most versatile Shikai (essentially Senbonzakura but with ash) amongst the Lieutenants which allows her to have both defense and offense, as well as occupying a large amount of space with the ash (she's got range for days!) & Momo has shown how super advanced she is at Kido, combining multiple spells in ways most people haven't even tought of and in a way to accentuate the damage of her Zanpakuto (who's otherwise not as versatile as others). Their abilities are actually above most Lieutenants (think Iba, Isane, Nanao, Nemu, Kiyone&Sentarō, and honestly a few others, etc etc) but they simply don't get the wins they deserve. But unfortunately the Tres Bestias are probably the strongest Fraccions, and Ayon is incredibly deadly, way beyond their abilities. It was fun to see Yamamoto body him so easily, though. Really goes to show how strong the Head Captain is, especially since he's barely even trying here. I've often thought that it could have been interesting to see Sajin (and his gigantic Bankai) taking Ayon on instead of Yamamoto, and sort of slicing him in half like Yama does, however considering Ayon was actually able to stand back up after that and attack Yamamoto again even after being cut in half (!!!) I feel like someone like Yamamoto who could actually turn him to ashes completely was necessary for the fight to end quickly and for us to move on to more important fights.
Starrk and Shunsui just chilling are the best, but Ayon was just a creepy menace, no room for lieutenants (if for Ikkaku, if he would have come to fight). Kira with his shikai maybe was the best choice against that beast, but he was the only able to save Rangiku and Momo (bad censorship again). Anyway, yes, 230-265 is the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc, such a great filler arc, but 228 is the best filler episode 👀
It makes no sense to me because fighting is what they're all there for. On top of that, he talked as if they forced him to go help them, but they didn't ask him for any help and were already trying to take care of it themselves when he chose to jump in.
@@endopoth7 Well, I personally wonder if Komamura would have been able to handle Ayon instead. Maybe, maybe not, but we didn't get to see it, and I'm not sure that he was doing anything before Yamamoto jumped in.
@@kmgyening No he wouldn’t. Ayon is very strong and huge. Even if Komamura used bankai we have to remember his bankai’s major weakness. If it get’s hurt he gets hurt.
@endopoth7 I'm not saying Komamura would have certainly won, but I don't think we could tell that based on what's been shown up to this point, and the best way to show that would be for them to actually fight each other. Plus I understand that Komamura's Bankai has that weakness, but that doesn't stop him from using it, and it's not indicated as a reason why it wouldn't have worked against Ayon.
In the manga, Rangiku had a chunk taken out of her mid-section. The anime was extremely censored
Kubo was like "Okay Lieutenants, you've had your time to shine, now time to clear up the board" when he designed Ayon 😅

Yamamoto the Goat 🔥
I didn’t even see the setup they had at 18:35.

Injuries in manga are more brutal. In anime it's censored
Aizen suffered from severe mental confusion after the appearance of Momo.
Lol what?
Aizen opened garganta and heads back to las noches immediately. He needs medication now.😔

Honestly when Yamamoto intervened I thought “seriously? It’s necessary to send a nuke against a rat?” lol
❤
Yamamoto thinking he only needs to stand on the frontlines not fight. What he says to them annoys me so much.
