Stop comparing the taxes in Developed Countries with India. Per Capita Income of USA ($80,000) , Singapore ($1,00,000), China ($13,000) and India only ($2,500) . At such low per capita, if we keep on increasing various taxes, it will be hell for Middle Class. Not sure what's wrong with FM. India is lucky to be a domestic consumption led economy. Lets not mess with the purchasing power of its citizens with rising taxes and inflation. We all understand that Govt need money to fund various initatives. Increase the tax base not the tax for now. When we will slowly reach a high level of per capita then we can think of increasing the tax which inevitably will.
