The principal actors in this movie are incredible. So understated and authentic. No yelling out their lines or anything like that. The whole feel of the movie is extremely good.

But unlike Rachel I had no family to return to and no lovely memories from the track housing town in which I was raised. It gave me a new understanding of big city life: Life in Manhattan can be glamorous and a lot of fun but it also has its dark side. For those inhabitants who have fond memories of where they were raised and perhaps come from loving families, they have an escape hatch and they leave. While for the rest of us who came to Manhattan as orphans there is nowhere to return to so we soldier on and make the best of it. But I did move west at 70.

So many of the new actresses seem so comfortable in their bodies. I am anorexic and remember subscribing to the superthin bodies that were so in Vogue. And I cannot shake this killer illness.

I think this doctor needed therapy. She didn't have any relationship all these years in NY? And in a culture where people are missing each other all the time she refused a good night kiss after a grand date? And the guy trashed her choices on first date? They both need therapy imo
She gave him the chance to ‘fly free’. He might not have gone if she hadn’t pushed him. Also, she probably wanted to be ‘courted ‘. Apparently, despite knowing each other for years, this was their first real date.
Not saying it was bad but, please, come up with another theme than 95% of LMN or "feel good" genres are always putting out-Small town girl who's a big hit in the city but, when she has a reason to go back to her hometown, finds out that where she belonged all along and the HS boyfriend was the real "Mr Right". Talk about redundancy!

That house isn't worth a couple million in central ky and the Castle is pricey but not so expensive that a teacher couldn't afford it
