Gretchen has become the ultimate pro swimmer/athlete. Even her speech pattern is now perfect and her thoughts are concise and clear. Just a year ago she was stiml slightly shy and somewhat awkward. Now, the perfect spokesperson and role model. What an inspiration. Shes gonna destroy LA-'28.

    Wonderful interview, Fares!
Gretchen hit on one thing that will stick with me the next time I hit the pool.
She mentioned her 6’1 frame and to swim her height, or even more.
When I swim I envision myself as a long water creature with my feet as powerful flippers and my arms as long fins. I’m about 5’7.5 and hearing about swimming tall and long makes so much sense!
I know the above may sound like a strange analogy, but when you are building strength and endurance for swimming.. well you need to be creative at times! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️✨✨

After watching many of your videos through the last couple of years, it is clear swimming is now more dependent on technique and strategy than strength. Presumably this is why female swimmers and non-western swimmers are exhibiting so much progress recently.

It assumes females and non-western swimmers are not as adequately strenth inclined as western males which is bullshit

Discussions of the Fly are my favorite. It's a vexing stroke, but one I'm determined to master. TY! p.s. Gretchen Walsh is a badass!

Butterfly is physically the hardest stroke to learn. Breast is the skillfully hardest stroke to learn

Though AI can have its challenges, there are many benefits to the technology. Together we can work to create a better, more efficient world. The alarmism surrounding AI is simply fearmongering perpetuated by those who stand to lose financial wellbeing or employment from AI’s benefits being made available more widely.
