I first heard this hymn in my Yorkshire Methodist⛪Chapel this year March 2019. At the end of the hymn as we sat down I whispered to my husband "that was emotional" I memorised the hymn number 469 so that I can sing it again when we got home😃On RUclips I have found different people and organists with this hymn. Then about 3 Sundays ago Pastor Kelly Lee sang it on Classic Praise, Revelation TV...WOW😭😭I told my husband that's one thing on the planner that's not getting deleted. I♥️this hymn so very much. I'm 53 years old. I know many Old Jamaican, Church of England and Southern Gospel hymns. This is my favourite hymn of ALL time and I've only heard it a couple of months ago🕊️Thanks for posting this most beautiful hymn...EVER😃❣️🕊️🔥✝️
This is a Catholic hymn. It will be found in most recent Catholic hymnbooks. It's a gem! Your timing is different to my 2 copies; this hymn seems to vary in each book!
Tuesday 19 March, 2019. We sang this hymn a few Sundays ago in Chapel🎹It is so spiritual🕊️and emotional😭Thank you for posting📮GOD bless you, Rob Charles. Most beautiful 💟😃🕊️🔥 ✝️
This also helps through these tough times off looseing someone suddenly, as the organ is such a powerful, yet soothing instrument played properly like by yourself. Thankyou again.
RobCharles1981 I found "Blaenwern" in a book of hymn arrangements that I have - if only I had been looking. In the US, the Baptist church I grew up in used the hymn tune "Beecher"; the Lutherans (where I play) use "Hyfrydol"
Sorry I'm so late, but I'm an organist looking for the sheet music of this beautiful hymn, anyone know where I could get it as well? Thank you in advance
