Please show us more. We love ALL of Gulfport, St. Pete (Boca Ciega Bay & Intracoastal waterway) not just the commonly known areas for tourists. Locals who’ve scattered & traveled would appreciate visuals for where/how to help
Due to limited time and access to legal places where I can fly, I am unable to expand to much larger areas. I will continue trying to cover my area of the bay as much as possible and will try to expand to other areas when I can.
@@karennadeau8251 why? You don't have to live on the water. My friend is selling his home he bought back in the early 80s (so low-around 30k).. 3 whole lots! He's blind, can't stay. It's on 9th Ave south.. before 51st south. That's a pretty safe area, partly residential/businesses. Sure suited him well for decades. All the damage he sustained was his already falling down wood fence, fell finally. His back yard looks like a nature preserve. Beautiful trees, bamboo. Used to be "club Croon" hope it goes to a good owner. 🥲
@@markdinkel-uh2je hi nice to see you, yeah I noticed several blocks with homes in Pasadena that had stuff outside, some homes look like the first floor quite a bit of stuff yes also several of the shopping plazas were hit down there and have not reopened I heard a rumor that the Winn-Dixie right there is not reopening, and of course the beaches I have not seen the damage down there myself but it looks very extensive, Clearwater also that's where I grew up
No offense, but for all the time that took, it wasn't very revealing. You stayed far enough away that if there was damage, it wasn't actually able to be seen. Thanks for posting anyway! Some things could be seen.
The last two videos I shot for me. I was trying to keep track of what was going on. I didn't have the time to get to where I could fly closer. I posted them because I had them to show at least something going on. With the coming weather, I probably want be able to post anything for a while.
@@daveandkevin well, it was nice to see something, so thank you for taking your time to do that! Please don't take offense at my comment. Thank you for posting the footage! Have a great day!
I was not offended. To be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed with the responses to my videos. I only had a few friends watching my videos a couple weeks ago. It has exploded with the hurricane. I realize news about Gulfport and the area is limited right now, so I am sharing what I can in hope that people can at least see a little bit about what is going on here. I wish I had the time and energy to cover it better.
Wow is all I can say... Thank you for posting this! 😢
Glad that you enjoyed it. I put it out there for a few friends but am surprised at how many people have watched it.
Born and raised 60 years in St Petersburg, don't live by the water
No matter how hard you try, NATURE always WINS!
I agree. Humans are living to close to the dangee.
So saddening. Prayers for victims

Scratch... damn I was looking to move there. Change of plans.

Did they lose power but back on now?
@@markdinkel-uh2je many areas have been restored but a lot of people are having to rebuild, the first floor flooded for blocks and blocks
@@TheFifthWorld22 south Pasadena I assume the same? I used to go to Mad Records from time to time when I was on vacation down there.

I could see all the roof damage an boats everywhere thrown around. Trees seemed fine. No comparison to places like Ashville an Western North Carolina.
@@swimgoddess-r1uIt was far worse out on the beaches.
