Such a beauty! I’ve listened to them since 2004, almost 20 years now.
Yup. In a Safe Place with Sigur Ros... the Subpop days
same, remember Tristeza!?
Uohhh
@@funL1F3hell yeah
KEXP does such a great job on their sound engineering for these live sessions. Everything is so well balanced. For a lot of bands, I prefer the KEXP sound over their studio versions.
Totally agree
Been listening TAL for almost 15 years, great to see them on KEXP
Been listening since the temporary residence days. I'm so glad you are still making music Jimmy!
AL got me through the hard college times in 2004. I was in Web Development and I'd zone out coding with In a Safe Place, Seal Beach, etc. And now in my career, I still lock-in and bunker down with AL when I have to do really big web and video projects. Red Eye, Essex, and San Simeon are among my favs. I attribute my success to them for sure!
I've been listening to them since the Permian-Triassic Period. Good times!
Obrigado, KEXP.
New fan, great atmosphere and camera work. Thanks
I love this so much
Jimmy played guitar in a band called Swing Kids back in the 90's. "Disease" is one of my favourite songs of all time. Never heard jazz and punk blended like they do.
& also this set is amazing
I went directly to check it out! Thanks for the tip. Didn't hear much of jazz though, good old hardcore for me haha
@@narrash_a yeah i guess its rly only present in disease my bad
Thanks guys and Kexp 😊
Heard their name for years but never got around to checking these guys out - and prob wouldn’t have were it not for KEXP, the absolute best place to discover music.
This is a great performance - I’m a new fan. The sound is somewhere between To Rococo Rot and Mogwai I think, but definitely all their own. Love the horn.
amazing group of musicians!
❤Walter ❤ Makes magic with that Trumpet 🎶🎺 🎶
I’ve watched this so many times and totally regret not seeing them preform this album live.
Exceptional 🥹🙌🏽
I dig these guys so much. Always a pleasure to listen to.
Lovely, very much enjoyed this. Couldn't help but think of Mark Isham in this soundscape.
Wow! Great to see em live! Awesome band
THANK UUUUUU !!!!!!!! 😍🥰😍🥰
amazing performance
First omg they are amazing, loved them since 2214
2214? damn homie
omg I first discovered them in 2214 too
In the year 2214, all music is the album leaf. They hold supreme dominion over art itself, which is the ruling force of the post-nuclear world. The ambient tunes spread fear into the cave dwelling gangs of marauders. When they hear the soft drums and warm synths, they know that album leaf hath come for them and all they can do is pray to the lizard gods for a quick death.
@@knobgoblin4486 I'll take that over taylor Swifts head in jar still singing about her bad relationships.
@@IskarJarek lol

Absolutely awesome!! 🤟
What a pleasure!
Im stunned...
Talent
Wish they performed The light😩
I bought one of his albums 'In a Safe Place' a long time ago. Dusted it off again fairly recently only to be reminded what a beautiful little gem it is.
Great to see them on KEXP😀
1:32 seems they forgot to mic this one 😃
👏bravo 🏆
Did they forget to mix the drums? Cannot hear them at all until half way through the first song….
Kiasmos ?
S U P E R ............
Miss his voice though
Lots of phase issues with this music, don't you think?
