One of the biggest problems I’ve noticed with the plants in the Chinese worlds is that they’re all one off stupid counters to an oddly specific niche zombie or environmental hazard. Its pretty much a stereotype or thing to make fun of in pvz in general, some stupid plant to be used to counter some oddly specific thing and be useless outside of the level it came from.
Here's my idea on a rework on each plant Flat Shroom: planted on a hole will cover it until it disappears in 20 seconds. Any zombie near it will be bounced to a different row up for up to 4 times (plant food would spew out steam slowing zombies that come in contact on the tile). Fanilla: Function as a Tap To Use plant. It's attack will push zombies back a while slightly damaging them a bit. Each level will also increase the usage and pushback of the attack. Passion Flower: no changes, just fix the animation of the attack projectile Lotus Root: no changes, just fix the bugs and make it reflectable by Jester. Berry Blaster: Make the 3x3 berry instead every 5th shot and also have a different projectile for it as well. Each level decreases the amount of required shots by 1 Lily of Alchemy: (I did not have any good ideas for this one)
Imagine if flatshroom either converted the smoke to damage zombies or it was an absurdly tanky plant that “tanked” the smoke, holding the smoke but you have to make sure to replace it and make sure zombies don’t touch it
15:19 I've always been thinking and counting. that it's still Raspberries, which are quite popular in our homeland. My grandmother has about 30 bushes of this delicious berry growing near her house.
Flat-shroom really deserves a buff, like, i can deal with it not removing the steam entirely (in fact it actually makes sense when you think about it), but not having it remove steam temporarily a few seconds after it's first planted actually makes it a lot worse than it could be if properly executed.
Here's a guide on how YOU (yep, YOU) can make Flat-shroom better: Step 1 Make it remove the steam when it's placed. Step 2 Make the steam harmless/weaker Step 3 Make it a ground plant Step 4 Idk just speed up the recharge
thank yo for making these videos i always wondered about the abilities of plants and zombies from the chinese version but i never could play the game because it was a bit complicated for me :'D
I really don’t like the take for Passionflower, gears seem really strange for it. If I were to design how passionflower would work then id make it that it slowly engulfs tiles in front of it that would act like a stun or slow down version of spikeweed
Some plants in this world, like Gold Bloom, are really good, while others, like Fanilla, feel like they should go in a garbage can. But here's my opinions on all of them: 1. Gold Bloom: Incredibly useful and OP. 2. Lotus Root: I didn't know Blover and Hurrikale could remove the steam. Since I have Blover, I can use it INSTEAD of Lotus Root to get the steam removed in a better way. Lotus Root could be better as a gimmick counter plant. 3. Flat-Shroom: I had no idea that Blover could remove steam, so I didn't get what this plant did when you first unlock it. Now that I know that Blover can remove steam, Flat-Shroom will be more useful. I knew about the transportation blocking though. 4. Fanilla: Like I said, trash. Literally only used for countering the Gentleman Zombie. Does too little damage. The tornado ability doesn't help make this plant better. 5. Passionflower: The rapid damage and multi-lane attacking gives this plant it uses. 6. Berry Blaster: I was able to beat that conveyor level with this and Lily of Alchemy easily, even on Hard Mode, because of the damage they do. 7. Lily of Alchemy: Really useful. The stacking poison gets rid of zombies quickly.
My Tier List Gold Bloom: S (OP) Flat Shroom: D (meh) Fannila: F (trash) Lotus Root: B (pretty decent) Passionflower: A (pretty good plant TBH) Berry Blaster: S ( I love this plant ) Lily of Alchemy: A (a nerfed goo pea and shadow shroom but still pretty great)
Mint families I think would be fitting for these guys (minus gold bloom): Flat-Shroom: Containmint Fanilla: Containmint for stalling or Spearmint for pierce Passionflower: Appeasemint Lotus Root: Ailmint or Appeasemint Berry Blaster: Bombardmint Lily of Alchemy: Ailmint

I feel like chinese ver has a varying level of quality, sometimes the art is low q, sometimes the animation is weird, it makes me think of modded pvz rather than other version. And then new zombies or words look much better there. I dont understand.
I feel like Lotus Root dying from the fog is actually balanced, otherwise the fog would just be a gimmick that makes the world a bit too hard. Also, I've always used a different name for the mulberry (mulberry grenadier) and poison shooting lily (convelaria alchemist) since that's what I first saw as a possible english translation of their names Also, I have footage of me beating a seed conveyor level (hard mode w/ lvl4 zombies) where you only get the mulberry, lily, and shrink violet on hard mode with just level 1 mulberry and lily and maybe level 2 violet. The strategy is that the lily is extremely OP and the violet works like a temporary blockade for any enemies getting in the way. Mulberry still can do decent damage, but try to get rows of alchemy lily to absolutely destroy everything you can, especially the gargantuars
I kind of want to miss him something really quickly gold Bloom is actually available for other versions of the game like the United States version and they work the same

Its pretty much a stereotype or thing to make fun of in pvz in general, some stupid plant to be used to counter some oddly specific thing and be useless outside of the level it came from.
Didn't know Zach liked pvz.
Definitely my favorite world in almost everything but game design
13:29 beat is on point
same with 14:13
Lily of Alchemy, Berry Blaster, and Lotus Root seem cool.
that last part of Lily of Alchemy's almanac entry text is so raw and I love it for that
lol yeah
@@ninjapirate123 Female. The video and almanac entry literally tell you.
Here's my idea on a rework on each plant
Flat Shroom: planted on a hole will cover it until it disappears in 20 seconds.
Passion Flower: no changes, just fix the animation of the attack projectile
Lotus Root: no changes, just fix the bugs and make it reflectable by Jester.
Berry Blaster: Make the 3x3 berry instead every 5th shot and also have a different projectile for it as well. Each level decreases the amount of required shots by 1
Lily of Alchemy: (I did not have any good ideas for this one)
Imagine if flatshroom either converted the smoke to damage zombies or it was an absurdly tanky plant that “tanked” the smoke, holding the smoke but you have to make sure to replace it and make sure zombies don’t touch it
dont make projectiles reflectable, thats a horrible idea
Lily of Alchemy is already perfect the way she is, just, need to make her lob backwards like the rest of the lobbers
This is my new favorite PvZ2 content channel.
Lily of Alchemy and Passionflower are my favourites I saw. I already knew what Fanilla did because I researched it. Flat-Shroom just seems useless.
Bruh this world is the most lazy out of all
Laziest
I agree
@Dash the cool kid why is your pfp doge
Original commenter Are you talking about real life or PVZ 2? r/woosh me
Lily of Alchemy is SO COOL (and cute, too!)
Love how lily's entry is just
"The only cure for them is death."
I prefer Reflourished's Steam Ages, I think we can all agree on that.
Jester really getting the short end of the stick today
15:19 I've always been thinking and counting. that it's still Raspberries, which are quite popular in our homeland. My grandmother has about 30 bushes of this delicious berry growing near her house.
I can understand fanilla’s projectile not being reflected because it’s just air.
Awesome, another video from this great series
Flat-shroom really deserves a buff, like, i can deal with it not removing the steam entirely (in fact it actually makes sense when you think about it), but not having it remove steam temporarily a few seconds after it's first planted actually makes it a lot worse than it could be if properly executed.
Here's a guide on how YOU (yep, YOU) can make Flat-shroom better:
Step 1
Make it remove the steam when it's placed.
Step 2
Make the steam harmless/weaker
Step 3
Make it a ground plant
Step 4
Idk just speed up the recharge
I like the sync from the music, very satisfying 14:14
Thank you! I would love to see the premium plants as well
Lotus Root’s flavour text is absolutely golden
The sequel to overanalyzing Steam Ages, and it again shows how the Steam Ages got short end of development stick
If you ever feel useless just remember Flat-Shroom exists
13:32 that sync tho
Fanilla actually looks like a decent plant
it has a really good design and the shadow form is super neat
@@LineOfThy it dosent have any shadow form. Shadow vanillla and fanilla are different plants
@@uae2992 *Shadow version
THESE VIDEOS ARE AWESOME KEEP THEM UP :DDD
Thank you!
12:46 damn that music brought back memories.
Oh my God, Dirk Valentine was my favorite old Nitrome game, when I heard its music, my jaw literally dropped. You are awesome.
;)
I was waiting for this
thank yo for making these videos
i always wondered about the abilities of plants and zombies from the chinese version but i never could play the game because it was a bit complicated for me :'D
idk how i can relate more to a 1 year old comment
Your crushing it with these vids
I really don’t like the take for Passionflower, gears seem really strange for it. If I were to design how passionflower would work then id make it that it slowly engulfs tiles in front of it that would act like a stun or slow down version of spikeweed
Ice rock?
@@anidiotthathasexistence364 I'm sorry, but the plant you mentioned does not exist
YESS YOU UPLOADED!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN!
18:10 lily of alchemy description goes hard as shit ngl
She's basically a nurse to plants and a killer to zombies
5:19
i like how they changed the tornado to a frosty one when you put fanillas costume on
I enjoy watching your content, keep up the good work
Lotus root is just a peashooter if used outside of steam ages... that is unless you level it up or use plant food on it
Dang after seeing what the passion flower do, i kinda wanna play this now lmao
@@ninjapirate123 idk
18:18 breaking bad reference? bravo vince!
As much as this world was rushed I can't deny that the plants are my favorite in this world
Passionflower and Blastberry Seem like Very Good Plants
Beside being unfinished and buggy, this is one of the most original worlds from the chinese version (in terms of plants)
I like the lily of alchemy. It looks like it could have been in the international version too.
I was not expecting to hear AN INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF THE LADY IN PINK'S THEME in this video but I'm glad that I did.
Here are the time codes for you to make it more convenient ;)
0:16 Gold Bloom
0:52 Flat-shroom
2:51 Fanilla
7:05
Glad to see you again with your vids! You oughta become a big PVZ2 youtuber one day..
This video taught me that Jester gets absolutely disrespected in PVZ2C
Some plants in this world, like Gold Bloom, are really good, while others, like Fanilla, feel like they should go in a garbage can. But here's my opinions on all of them:
Lily of Alchemy is kinda eh in its poison compared to ones like Goo Peashooter
@@HashiNuke Well, yes, that's true. I still think Lily of Alchemy is handy, though.
@@samlev9871
Even then, it doesn't bypass the armor like Goo Pea and Shadow-shroom do
that kinda what makes it balanced
My Tier List
Gold Bloom: S (OP)
Flat Shroom: D (meh)
Fannila: F (trash)
Lotus Root: B (pretty decent)
Passionflower: A (pretty good plant TBH)
Berry Blaster: S ( I love this plant )
Lily of Alchemy: A (a nerfed goo pea and shadow shroom but still pretty great)
For some reasons Flat-shroom is my favorite plant form this world.
( Fanilla and Lily of alchemy are pretty cool too )
Mint families I think would be fitting for these guys (minus gold bloom):
Flat-Shroom: Containmint
Fanilla: Containmint for stalling or Spearmint for pierce
Passionflower: Appeasemint
Lotus Root: Ailmint or Appeasemint
Berry Blaster: Bombardmint
Lily of Alchemy: Ailmint
12:20 that zombie wasnt supposed to have that death animation
A water blast so pwoerful it shook him to the kolecular level and caused his bare atoms to start bouncing around without limits, leading to him overheating and burning down in the end
Facts
L.R(Lotus Root)His power up is like Reapeter!!and that change too blast a big water looks glitchy 😅😅😊
Attempt for French names (Suggestions for The French Captions)
Gold Bloom : Phosflorescent (Gold bloom being in the international version, I'll use his official french name)
Flat-Shroom: Champi-Bouchon
Fanilla: Vanizé ("Vanille" and "Alizé")
Passionflower/Maypop Mechanic: Engrenadille ("Engrenage" and "Grenadille" (Passion Flower specie))
Lotus Root/Shooter: Lotus Absorbante
(Mul)Berry Blaster: Grenade Mûre-trière
Lily of the Alchemy: Cata-Muguet
I love your videos 👍
Thanks.
Fanilla: I AM FOR GROUNDING FOR FLYING ENEMIES NOT FOR DEFEATING ZOMBIES
Keep up the good work!
Costume level 4 lotus root is actually good since you have a 1/4 chance to wipe an entire lane
Before anything else, let's have one min silence for jester zombie in this video.
Omg
I love factory inspection xd
I feel like chinese ver has a varying level of quality, sometimes the art is low q, sometimes the animation is weird, it makes me think of modded pvz rather than other version. And then new zombies or words look much better there. I dont understand.
this is where the ALMIGHTY FLAT SHROOM IS
I feel like Lotus Root dying from the fog is actually balanced, otherwise the fog would just be a gimmick that makes the world a bit too hard. Also, I've always used a different name for the mulberry (mulberry grenadier) and poison shooting lily (convelaria alchemist) since that's what I first saw as a possible english translation of their names
Also, I have footage of me beating a seed conveyor level (hard mode w/ lvl4 zombies) where you only get the mulberry, lily, and shrink violet on hard mode with just level 1 mulberry and lily and maybe level 2 violet. The strategy is that the lily is extremely OP and the violet works like a temporary blockade for any enemies getting in the way. Mulberry still can do decent damage, but try to get rows of alchemy lily to absolutely destroy everything you can, especially the gargantuars
@@ninjapirate123 female
I kind of want to miss him something really quickly gold Bloom is actually available for other versions of the game like the United States version and they work the same
Idk what to say when I am early at a vid I've been waiting for so long
Flat shroom gotta be one of the worst plants ever 💀
AGREED.
The wind of Fanilla look very like the plant food screen in Pvz All Star ( I mean the Animation )
ayyyy he uploads
One thing you forgot mentioning is that passionflower has the monkiwi sound if you play it in kungfu world
