street is like 99% of skating now and there’s always going to be people who want to do something different so I think there will be a massive resurgence of vert skating, but it’s probably still a few years away at least. I mean at least half the skating here was from men over 40.

My jaw literally dropped at Tony's madonna crook slide (or whatever the hell it was); I've got so much respect for the man knowing that he can still inspire and surprise us. I thought that was the best trick of the contest until tate carew's insane blind hardflip thing (I don't even know how to begin naming it). Seriously stoked on this. literally everyone was incredible.
Dude Jimmy Wilkins is my favorite vert guy right now. It’s awesome he skates for Lakai too because I’m sure he could get on any of the big shoe companies

I’m 32, and I finally tried skating an actual vert ramp a few weeks ago. It’s so much gnarlier than it looks.

I tried when I was a teen I fell, slid across the floor & hit a pole and broke my leg. Never tried again
never say never, once you learn to knee slide (with knee pads) comfortably, its all down hill after that
