Thanks for the video. I was able to get this setup and running on my Macbook Pro 14 M1 using Parallels and installing the SIlicon Labs drivers maually on the Windows side. Now I don't need a hotspot with me, just the laptop. I carry the "dongle" as I call it, in a small hard plastic box. Huge thumbs up on this!
I talked to you the other day when you were trying this out so I decided to give it a go. Everything LOOKS to be working, but I never hear any traffic on the REF030C reflector. It sees me and keeps telling me over and over that I am connected to "R E F Zero Three Zero C" but I cna only see myself.
I have noticed that after a random amount of time, the BlueDV shows radio traffic and the MMDVM board is receiving it but it's not passing it to my radio. I wonder if it may be the board dying and have any of you noticed this? I am using a cheap board from Amazon that is a few years old.
Hi you did a great video, I want to know at the radio side the frequency of 431550000 is simple and analogous ,no digital right? Can I use different frequency . 73 W4EDY
Since I'm using a USB hat with a hotspot board and no Raspberry Is there any guides to setting up for DMD? As well as the hotspot to a radio? I have dabbled with hotspots and PiStar but Blue DV is a different beast. N8ZOM
There is another Ham doing the same as you. His latest video is using a HC05 bluetooth adapter instead of the USB to TTL. He then uses a USB power supply to power it. He had to add a 3.3v regulator for the MMDVM hat so the TTL will rise only to 3.3v. His is wireless. Pretty cool. ruclips.net/video/peXm5wWeBAw/видео.html
